Current prices on Betfair... 3.8 SCIENTIST 4.1 SNAP 4.0 MIDNIGHT BALLAD 11.0 MISTER REGENT 25.0 bar SCIENTIST - don't like this one, fav simply because he's trained by Gosden and ridden by Fallon. Probably needs further and showed nothing on his seasonal debut. SNAP - don't like this one either. Was 2nd on his debut last week, but bred to need further and unproven on fast ground. The race he was 2nd in was a slowly run affair, so he didn't achieve as much as his price suggests. MIDNIGHT BALLAD - this is the one I'm on. He ran 3 nice races last year, and didn't do badly on his reappearance when trying to keep tabs with the useful FUN TO RIDE (who subsequently was an unlucky loser off 90 at Chester). Has the best draw of all those at the front end of the market, and can win this. MISTER REGENT - was 3rd at 50/1 on his debut but that was a slowly-run event and he didn't achieve anything like the selection has. So it's MIDNIGHT BALLAD for me @ 4.0.
