Re: Gaf on TV - finally!

just watched until the part where you were knocked out . stupid rules . Your opposition would most probably had folded with that had it been a BIg bet . :(
Howard Plant confirmed to the American Doug whilst I was leaving the studio that had it not been a string bet, he would have folded :sad I can understand the reason for the rule, and I can't plead ignorance - because it was explained (and demonstrated) before we started - unfortunately I have noone to blame except myself (and my inexperience!!) - what a time to learn!!!

Re: Gaf on TV - finally!

Whats he's doing down there then ? Special invitation ?
Well there were 3 types of players - Pros, Internet Qualifiers and celebs. I'm sure he didn't pay his $10,000 entry fee - and indeed in the "green room" afterwards he was given a nice wad of cash, which I presume was appearance money .......... No wad for me though :sad

Re: Gaf on TV - finally!

To be honest ' date=' they were all afraid of your aggressive plays :)[/quote'] Yup - until the string bet, I wouldn't have done much different. The "game plan" was tight aggressive pre flop - to make it more a game of chance than skill - didn't realise just how advantagous that would be to me as they didn't want pre flop confrontation, prefering to out play me later instead (I presume) - someone on here has a nice sig - "never give a fool an even money chance" - well (comparatively) - I was the fool - so even money shots were good for me and bad for them. That was for the first two levels - from level 3 (or maybe level 4) I was going to become loose aggressive pre flop - with the table image I had, that should have been quite successful!! Unfortunately I went out at the end of level 2, so I'll never know. Not seen on Camera, but after my AQo (2nd consecutive pre flop aggressive hand I played) Mike Comer said something to me like "Careful, I'll have to call you in a mnute" - he had the chips to do so, but that would have suited me to take my chances with lady luck.........
