Basketball European Cups 16th-17th Nov.

Recommended Posts

Last week i recommended Panathinaikos (-4.5) at 1st quarter @1.85, 10 pts vs Panellinios for the Greek League. Unfortunately although Panathinaikos overcame Panellinios easily with 92-65 the score at 1st quarter was 20-20. Bad start... So lets go to Euroleague Siena - Panathinaikos Both teams are unbeatable both in domestic league (the truth is though that Serie A is much better than Greek A1) and in Euroleague. Siena has changed many players since last year and signed Woodward, Kaukenas, Nicola and others and they actually got a decent coach this year. On Day 1 of Euroleague Siena beat away CSKA 69-74, a result that shocked many in Europe. On Day 2 they easily beat Partizan (probably the worst team in Euroleague) 66-59. Siena beat Panathinaikos at home at the last 3 games they played scoring many points but now they play based on their good defence with low schemes and low pace. They averagely score 70 pts and concede 64 in Euroleague. Pezzile and Detome are doubtful. Panathinaikos having qualified to the Greek Cup final (which is due in March or something) and having no real competition in Greek league can focus entirely on Euroleague. No player has left since last year and additionally Tomasevic (international Serb) and Spanoulis (Eurobasket 2005 winner with Greece and Euroleague Day 2 MVP although played his 2nd game for this competition). They beat Ulker away 82-66 and CSKA home 92-82. Thats gives an average of 87 against 74. Panathinaikos German international Center Femerling has stayed in Athens due to health problems (he has lost 6 kilos in past few days). He is not an indispensible players anyway, he only played 5 mins vs Ulker with 2 pts and 2 rebounds. All in all i think this game is a huge derby and we ll see 40 minutes of thriller bball. But i do give an advantage to Panathinaikos due to their class, their coach (Obradovic) and the fact that they are practically the same team for years and their form. 10 pts on Panathinaikos @1.95 Its worth to mention that Panathinaikos odds were dropped from 2.02 to 1.95 today. Starting Bank: 100 Current Bank: 90 Total Staked: 10 Strike Rate: 0% Yield: 0% Profit Loss: -10
