A poor day Yesterday. Just Cliqout travelled well and was well there till unseating at the 11th but Bobs Gone couldnt cope with the 7lb rise and trailed in a well beaten 6th. 210 Newton Abbot ~ HONAN is said to have a big future in the game. This Irish import easily won its only N.H.F race last time out and is said to have schooled very well in preparation for this race that wouldnt take a lot of winning anyway. A few good stats here for jockey and trainer are that Jamie Moore has had 6 winners from his last 11 mounts of which 4 winners from 7 were for Martin Pipe. Pipe himslef is also in hot form with 7 winners from his last 12 mounts. This wont be a huge price but safetys needed here and there will be a few long faces @ Castleshane if this gets beaten here. (Win Nap) 340 Newton Abbot ~ STANCE is flying at the moment and has been found another ideal chance here to follow up 2 good wins. Should make a nice double with Honan. (Win Nb) 300 Ayr ~ OMAN GULF drops right in class from The Dante (Class A Group 2 race) to this Class C Stakes and must hold a huge chance in this 4 runner race. It had previously won on ground like it will encounter Today (GF) over an inadequate 6f running on strongly and giving the impression that the step up to 8f will suit now that bit older. Paper favourite Celtic Heroine looks one to avoid here having twice run on Gf ground before and finishing 5th of 10 both times. That horse seems to like a nice bit of cut and with conditions against it here OMAN GULF can take advantage. (Win) 450 Bath ~ VOICE MAIL is a course specialist here with 4 of its 5 wins coming @ this course. It seemed to relish both the step up in trip to 8f last time plus the firm ground when a ready winner here last time out and it runs of exactly the same mark Today (68 +5lb penalty) and must surely go close again.
