glasgowcorner Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Hello guys All the best when it comes. I was wondering if anyone knows, if I use a friends debit card instead of mines on google pay to deposit and just insert my name as cardholder, will the bookmaker know it isnt my card? After reading carefully it does seem that google pay doesnt share my card details with the bookmaker, just my google pay account details ie name email etc. Im trying to get a mortgage and hes happy for me to use his card to put my coupons on so just wondering. Thanks in advance Quote

Expand Quick google suggests it might not work if you try and add the wrong name for the cardholder but I suppose you can try. Not sure I'd be happy letting someone else use my cards however good a friend they were. Could be a nightmare if there's any fraud following you being hacked or losing your phone and it's his account being fraudulently debited, could be in breach of his account terms and conditions and get him into difficulties with his bank. I'm not sure that normal recreational betting activity should be a barrier to getting a mortgage anyway. So I'd say not worth the hassle and advise your friend it's not a risk he should be looking to run. Quote
