StevieDay1983
The Punters Lounge Fantasy Football League enters its second international window and we have @dwikyeddo's Cyber Tech FC who have retained their spot on the top of the table. Their 60-point haul for the week has seen their lead extend by a single point to 20 points heading into the two-week break. The 16-point tally from vice-captain Bukayo Saka was the saving grace in a week when captain Erling Haaland failed to deliver. Manager of the Week went to a superb effort from Oliver Smith's United288 team. It was a 97-point return with an outrageous decision to captain Michail Antonio delivering 36 points off his own back. It has seen the team shoot up the league table to 25th spot and they are now right in the mix for the leading group. It was a very odd week with scores fluctuating erratically right across the league standings. In fact, not only was the lowest score not actually that low but it was shared by three teams who are now sat in positions 64th, 114th, and 145th. The three teams embracing the shame this week are Danny Martins' Ideas Unlimited, Jason Lewis' X.S.B., and Spadge Tarrant's Cream of the Crop. The total they could muster was 26 points. Far from the worst we've seen down the years but somebody has to suffer the embarrassment this week. The next deadline for transfers is a bit further away than usual with international matches this weekend. So keep a note that it's 11am UK time on Saturday 19th October. Best of luck to you all!
