Just had a debate with the dealers at the local casino.  A large pot say £1000 guy bets on the river with the nuts (debate if it wasn’t the nuts too) £300 guy goes all in for £305.  The guy that bet £300 assumed he called his £300 shows the nuts and the dealer declared his hand dead as he exposed his hands whilst facing a bet.  Is this the case??

I don’t think this is right personally. You can show your cards whenever you want and I believe it’s in the rules. So whilst it was a mistake, technically the dealer would say your call to make in that scenario.

As long as he hasn’t mucked the hand that is. I could be wrong but that’s how I would see it.

Somebody who plays poker far more than me will know the answer on here though I’m sure.
