StevieDay1983
The Punters Lounge Fantasy Football League enters the international break with Abdulbadiu Abdulkadir's Dankaka moving back to the top of the table after a 61-point total. Last week's table-topper @u1905068's Amics d'Eric Djemba had a week to forget earning just 31 points and freefalling to 11th place. It shows not only how close the top end of the table has become but also how quickly things can change. It's interesting to see a few familiar faces from last season such as @Gazza's United's Palmers Allstars and @StevenKing's Lucky Pierre both moving into the top 7. Manager of the Week did appear to be going to Harry Williams and his Albion Synergy team with 83 points but then I had to scroll all the way down to 107th place to see that it was actually Yannis Markos and their ikoniqa team with a whopping 94 points that took the accolade this round. The decision to captain Mohamed Salah with Raheem Sterling, Alexander Isak, and a solid back-line brought in the big points. Clearly, Yannis has now decided to get his team motivated and moving up the table! The name of shame was a close one this week. Elaine Charles's LikkleLions only mustered 19 points which looked set to claim it before the low-scoring Darama Mallum Wadai's Rexyking could only manage 18 points to see them fall ever closer to the foot of the table. The fans are in open revolt after yet another poor performance. Change feels inevitable! There is a break this weekend so you all have time to take stock and consider your next moves. I think I'm going to hope that nobody notices how poorly my team is doing. Just want to make you all feel better, that's all! The next deadline is 11 am BST on Saturday 21st October. Best of luck!
