Been progressively stepped up in trip recently in preparation for this and on a "win cycle " early month run now preceded by a run over this trip here 20/4. Short price not the big one I'd hoped for but good winning chance. AP is a course winner but not at the trip and may have scope to improve a little and is worth a tickle at triple figure odds.... All have strong claims best of which looks to be Haseno Express.... Drawn in stall 3 there is a non runner alongside in stall 4 to help. Has not run over trip since two runs which produced a win and a good second. Drops down for the first time and coincides with run in April last year to give optimum chance of winning here. Won't pay much at the wrong side of evens but holds a very good shout at 10/11. Mombetsu 1235 Airport liner has a chance here meets the criteria of a course winner this day last year. Will have to overcome a collosal opponent in bell pit who has only lost twice though. Hit the bar with a few, but three winners which may have been boosted significantly by slightly closer race reading. Mana Mokupuni, Shine Polaris and Ricochet the three winners of which two were proper 'trend' horses. No need to attack more than five japanese races on any given day. STATES Each way Was rather unlucky in running when caught in an equine sandwich and denied a clear run late on. He has stall 1 here (second last year) and if staying out of the ruck maybe seen in a better light now. David Egan takes over in the saddle. B.curtis has got back in the saddle for all but one of his last few rides. However the bet is not for Concorde to win (which he should still do easily) but for the winning race distance of any horses. The defection of maid in London at 9st 5 puts more daylight between the top weight and the field.
