StevieDay1983
The Punters Lounge Fantasy Football League has a new leader heading into the winter hiatus for the 2022 World Cup. Nick Wilkinson's Ecko Chambers moved to the top after picking up 59 points in what was generally a low scoring week for the teams near the top of the table. Martin Odegaard and Harry Kane being the only two players for Nick's team to score double figures. Congratulations for the highest scoring manager this week goes to two teams with JK Live's Kagochi FC and Chris Lyons' Pique Blinders. Both of those sides notched up an impressive 78 points in a low-scoring week which has helped move them up the table. Probably not a surprise they got the same number of points when they both have Danny Ward, Kieran Trippier, Joao Cancelo, Harry Kane, Ivan Toney, and a midfield consisting of two Arsenal players and a Brighton player in their squads! Our name of shame award this week goes to David Smith and his Glengall FC. Sadly, David's men have only managed to gather up 17 points this week which I think is a season-low for a lowest weekly score. It's rumoured that he has no regrets about keeping Alexis Mac Allister and Sven Botman on the bench after their misdemeanours in training this week. He has also reportedly confided with close friends that he is not going to re-think his strategy of fielding three Crystal Palace players! It's now a break for the 2022 World Cup so the next deadline isn't until 11am GMT on Monday 26th December! Merry Christmas to you all if I don't speak to you before then!
