StefanBB
Sevilla vs Villarreal Sevilla celebrated three times in the last five rounds, and the hosts currently sit in 6th place, being just three points behind third-placed Real Sociedad, and with three games in hand. After losing to Real Madrid, Julen Lopetegui’s side picked up seven points from three matches and got back on the unbeatable track. Although Youssef En Nesyri and the lads have been pretty modest in front of the oppositions’ net, with just 15 goals scored, their defense is the second tightest in the competition. However, Sevilla needs to improve their displays at the home ground, as they won only half of their six home games. The hosts missed the chance to win just once in the last five games in all competitions, and they want to keep up the pace. Villarreal suffered just one defeat in the La Liga campaign, and they are fourth, being three points ahead of their upcoming opponents. Unai Emery’s team is the king of draws, as they split points with rivals eight times on 15 occasions. Gerard Moreno and the lads are doing a good job in the final third, while their teammates from the back are also focused, despite conceding four times in the past five games. Villarreal hasn’t lost five times in a row when on the road, and they want to get back home with at least a draw this time as well. If we consider their Europa League and Copa del Rey campaigns, Villarreal’s unbeatable run extends to 20 matches. Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction It is going to be a very tight clash between two disciplined sides. We won’t be surprised if the game ends in a draw. Goals Market Prediction Sevilla’s games this season haven’t been efficient, and three of their last four matches remained under a 2.5 margin. We don’t expect to see more than two goals in this one as well. StefanBB
Atletico Madrid vs Getafe Atletico Madrid enjoys an excellent La Liga campaign as they sit in 1st place, having the same number of points as Real Madrid, but with two days in hand. They suffered only one defeat so far in the competition, as they lost to their fiercest rivals. Diego Simeone’s side is pretty productive in the front, while their rock-solid defense conceded only five times. Los Colchoneros allowed just a point to their visitors this season, as only Huesca managed to get away from Wanda Metropolitano undefeated. Their winning streak lasts for three matches in all competitions, and the hosts want to keep up where they left off. Atletico did a good job in the Champions League group stage as well since they secured a place in the eight-finals. Getafe sits in the middle of the table, but the visitors are not safe yet since they are only three points above the relegation zone. However, they picked up four points from the past two rounds, and the away side wants to get away undefeated once again. Although Damian Suarez and the lads have been doing well in the back, their lack of efficiency still concerns Getafe fans. They are one of the most unproductive sides in the league, with only 12 goals scored in 14 games. Getafe lost twice on the road but booked just one victory so far in the campaign. The visitors need to stabilize their form to remain safe and avoid getting in trouble. Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction Atletico Madrid is a strong favorite in this match, and they should take all three points from it. They celebrated ten times in a row against Getafe at the home ground, and we believe they will meet the expectations. Goals Market Prediction The hosts are very hard to beat in the back, while Getafe has trouble converting their chances into goals. We think Atletico Madrid should keep the clean sheet. StefanBB
Athletic Bilbao vs Real Sociedad The home side puts inconsistent performances throughout the entire campaign, and they currently sit in 12th place. However, Athletic Bilbao is only three points ahead of Valladolid, who is just below the red line. Gaizka Garitano’s side celebrated just once in the past five rounds, and the hosts need to improve their form in order not to drop into the danger zone. Although they are pretty tight in the back, Iker Muniain and the lads need to do better in the final third as they scored only 18 times. The retirement of Aritz Aduriz, Bilbao’s legendary striker, significantly impacted the home side’s efficiency. Nevertheless, Athletic puts excellent displays at the home ground, as they booked four victories from six games, conceding only four goals. They want another good performance against the fiercest rivals. Real Sociedad had heaven start to the season, but they have entered a poor streak lately. The visitors didn’t taste a win in the past six rounds, while they lost three consecutive times. Due to this winless streak, they slipped to the 3rd spot, being six points behind Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. If we consider Europa League as well, their run extends to nine games without winning. Nevertheless, thanks to previous excellent displays, the away side is still in the race for the top four, while they secured a place in the Europa League knockout stage. Imanol Alguacil’s side needs to tighten up their defense as they failed to keep the clean sheet seven out of their last eight games. On the other hand, Mikel Oyarzabal and the lads should improve their finishing, as they failed to score more than a goal six times in a row. The major setback for the visitors will be the absence of David Silva. Interestingly, when his injury troubles started, Sociedad’s form declined severely. We will see if the away side can cope with the absence of such a vital player. Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction It is going to be a very tight clash in which both sides have equal chances of winning. Considering both sides’ recent form, we won’t be surprised if this game ends in a draw. Goals Market Prediction Head to head clashes between these two teams usually bring us a moderate number of goals. We think nets won’t remain intact after the final whistle in this one.
