Moore vs Dettori

Who’s a better jockey, Ryan Moore or Frankie Dettori? 

I’m fairly new to racing so I apologise if this is an obvious question. Any comments, suggestions or opinions are welcome as I am trying to understand what makes a good jockey as I have come to learn they are an extremely important component in picking winners.

Moore is the more reliable; whilst he is still very good Dettori is a more mercurial personality who when he is "up" can win races you wouldn't believe but overall you would rather have Moore - which is why the world's strongest ownership group at Coolmore employ him rather than Dettori
