Tote Scoop6

Saturday March 11th

There was no winner of the Scoop6 on last Saturday. This is great news for you as the Win fund starts at £234,663 and the bonus fund at £95,007. Both these totals will grow rapidly as more stakes are placed.

totepool predict the combined win and bonus fund should be worth over £400,000!

Saturday’s bet is split equally between Sandown’s Imperial Cup card and all-weather action from Wolverhampton. Five legs will be shown live on ITV4.

With the Scoop6 in operation on all four days of the Cheltenham festival, any rollovers from Saturday’s bet will carry forward and be played for on Tuesday. Rollovers from Tuesday will carry forward to Wednesday and so on. (www.scoop6.co.uk)

Races

Leg 1: Gaitway 10/1 Bet365

A 16-runner handicap hurdle to kick things off and i've narrowed it down to the Nicky Henderson runner Gaitway and Lithic who is trained by Jonjo O'Neill. The Henderson runner has had his problems but won last time out and just could be a well handicapped horse. Lithic won last time out also and looks to be an improver.

Leg 2: Nimr 5/1 Paddy Power

Our first visit to Wolverhampton and the AW. This is a Lincoln Trial and quit a tricky handicap, none of the top few are in form so it may be best to leave this between last time out winners Nimr and Pactolus. Nimr is from the in form Fahey yard and is taken to follow up over a slightly longer trip.

Leg 3: Upswing  9/2 Bet365

Only 8 runners here and Colin Tizzard is responsible for the top two Masters Hill and Fourth Act. I wouldn't put you off either of them but they dont win very often these days. I like Upswing who looks well handicapped on some of his form and to be honest this race looks there for the taking.

Leg 4: Gilgamish

A 7f handicap and another race where the current form should be worth following. Last time out winner Gilgamish is the mount of Jamie Spencer and can repeat his win here over C/D. Boost is on a hat-trick and is an alternative selection.

Leg 5: Not Another Muddle 10/1 BetVictor

The big race of the day, the Imperial Cup. Not a great renewal to be honest but still pretty competitive all the same. Gary Moore does well here at Sandown and he saddles two runners including the bottom weight Not Another Muddle. He's had 3 runs over hurdles and could be suited to handicaps. Gassin Golf is a decent alternative for Kerry Lee.

Leg 6: Keystroke 5/2 888Sport

The final leg is a Listed contest over 7f and the favourite Keystroke looks the one to have on your side. He won a handicap off 95 at Kempton last time out and has a bit more up his sleeve. Roger Charlton's Yuften won at Ascot the last time we saw him and that form would be good enough if fit after 147 days off.

Perm: 16 bets

Leg 1: Gaitway, Lithic
Leg 2: Nimr, Pactolius
Leg 3: Upswing
Leg 4: Gilgamish, Boost
Leg 5: Not Another Muddle, Gassin Golf
Leg 6: Keystroke

:ok

NAP: 3.55 Ayr

Desert Cry 7/2 Bet365

Been running well of late, won at Bangor and here at Ayr to end a long losing run and then was 4th to Zarkander in a Grade 2 contest. Back in a normal handicap off just 5lbs higher than his last win and a interesting jockey booking in Brian Hughes. Must go close if in the mood.

NB: 2.50 Hereford

Freddies Portrait 11/4 Skybet
Gardiners Hill's run came to an abrupt end last time out and he is best left for now so this prize can go to Freddies Portrait and could be another winner for the in form Donald McCain. He improved to win last time out and is worth following now he has his head in front.

EW Bet: 4.00 Hereford

Canicallyouback 12/1 Bet365
Evan Williams saddles Canicallyouback here and the 9yo looks a decent each way bet at the current prices. He won twice back in July and has ran well a few times since in better company. He fell last time out but he looks good enough to get involved in this sort of company.
