Manawatu v Lions Tuesday

Recommended Posts

Lions will finally get a chance to score up some points in what has just been the most embarrasing tour for them so far. It just keeps getting worse, with more injuries, suspensions, and the BIG one, the loss to the ABs. Im not too sure how they can even start to turn it around. Anyway lets kick off this thread with the Manawatu team: Manawatu: 15. Frank Bryant, 14. Bevan Gray, 13. Jason Campbell, 12. Matt Oldridge, 11. Johnny Leota, 10. Graham Smith, 9. Jonathan Hargreaves, 8. Bryan Matenga, 7. Josh Bradnock, 6. Hayden Triggs, 5. Paul Rodgers, 4. Tim Faleafaga, 3. Kane Barrett, 2. Nathan Kemp (capt), 1. Sam Moore. Res: 16. Simon Easton, 17. Isaac Cook, 18. Paula Maisiri, 19. Chris Moke, 20. David Palu, 21. Nick Buckley, 22. Ben Trew Unlike the teams the Lions have played thus far, this is a NZ NPC Div 2 side, with no S12 experience, and until now all players have been involved in this season is low grade Manawatu club rugby in preperation. Last years Manawatu side finished 6 of 9 with 3 wins from 8. Historically its been a strong Union, hence theyve been given a shot at the Lions. However in recent times theyve seen all their quality players move to the bigger provinces, and the last few seasons Manawatu has even begun to struggle in the 2nd Div. Although the Loins have continued to dissapoint all tour, Ill stand by my previous thougts on this game and say the Lions will easily cruise in for a BIG win over my home team. A couple options that look the goods are Lions converted and unconverted tries as last scoring play. $1.90 and $7 respectively NZ TAB. . 2 units Loins converted try @ $1.90 NZ TAB 1 unit Lions unconverted try @ $7 NZ TAB
