Tote Scoop6

Saturday 14th January

There was no winner of the Scoop6 on last Saturday. This is great news for you as the Win fund starts at £658,592 and the bonus fund at £201,810. Both these totals will grow rapidly as more stakes are placed.

totepool predict the combined win and bonus fund could be worth over £1,000,000!

The Scoop6 takes in action from Warwick and Kempton with the first five legs shown live on ITV. The win fund is on a run of seven consecutive rollovers, while the bonus pot hasn’t been emptied since November 26. (www.scoop6.co.uk)

Races

Leg:1: Barney Dwan 7/1 Bet365

We kick off with a Pertemps Qualifier where the Final is at the Festival in March. Lough Derg Leader will be popular chasing a hat-trick, he still looks unexposed but at the same time has gone up a lot in the weights. Another one to look out for would be Barney Dwan who has been unlucky since switching to fences. He comes back to the smaller obstacles and will be keen to get qualified for the final.

Leg 2: Kalondra 12/1 BetVictor

One of the big betting races of the weekend here with a fair renewal of the Lanzarote Handicap. I like one or two here but the booking of Richard Johnson for Kalondra takes my eye and is a tentative vote in a wide open race. Doesyourdogbite, Bennys Mist and Modus can all be fancied on their last runs.

Leg 3: Ballyhill

Small field Grade 2 contest and a race Willie Mullins won last year. Another Irish raider Peregrine Run is the early favourite so has to be respected. Ballyhill has been a little frustrating this season but is highly regarded and shouldn't be ignored while Geordie Des Champs has a squeak too.

Leg 4: Kruzhlinen 11/2 Bet365

10-runner handicap chase and trainer of the moment Colin Tizzard has a chance here with Sandy Beach who was really impressive last time out at Newbury. The Hobbs/Johnson combo look dangerous with back to form Kruzhlinen, he has took time to get over the National but ran well over hurdles last time and is smart on his day.

Leg 5: Shotgun Paddy 10/1 Skybet

The Classic Chase from Warwick and the most competitive race of the day. 20 runners and any amount of horses in with a chance on their best form. I like Shotgun Paddy who won thus in 2014 and the classy Houblon Des Obeaux ran a cracker last time out and should be thereabouts.

Leg 6: River Frost

The final leg is a 10-runner handicap hurdle over two miles and we should be looking for something unexposed here as it wont take much winning. River Frost fits the bill who looks on a fair mark after winning a small race last time while Ozzie The Oscar has some decent form in the book and goes on he shortlist.

Perm: 32 bets

2.25 W: Barney Dwan, Lough Derg Leader
2.40 K: Kalondra, Modus
3.00 W: Ballyhill, Geordie Des Champs
3.15 K: Kruzhlinen, Sandy Beach
3.35 W: Shotgun Paddy, Houblon Des Obeaux
3.45 K: River Frost

:ok
