Nicky Henderson has always thought a lot of this horse so maybe it's surprising that we find him contesting a Class 3 handicap and not something a bit higher. Was made favourite for a Grade 2 last time but was only 3rd of four that day and i would expect a much better performance this time against inferior rivals.

2.40 Segefield: Cabragh NB 15/8 Corals
Sam Drake's 8yo Cabragh has been a revelation since switching to fences and has already won twice. Last time out at Bangor he looked ahead a little way of the handicapper so i expect him to defy the 7lb rise here. The opposition is all of a similar level and would need a personal best from one of them to win here.

With plenty of snow forecast in the UK we may be grateful for some AW racing on Friday and the best bet on the Lingfield card could be No Not Again from the Richard Hannon yard. He appreciated the step up in trip last time and looks a solid each way bet at the current prices.
