1.50 Punchestown (Sunday)

John Durkan Memorial Chase (Grade1) (2m4f)

The big Grade 1 race this week takes place at Punchestown where we have the John Drukan Memorial Chase.

First run over 2m4f back in 1973, five years after the race was established as a 2m chase. Down the years it has been the first Grade 1 Chase of the season and the honours list includes the likes of Captain Christy, Dawn Run, Florida Pearl, Carvills Hill, Beef Or Salmon, Kicking King, The Listener and Don Cossack.
