No winner again last week so the Win Fund has now crept up to a very nice £ 362,915 which could easily make half a million this week.

The Bonus Fund stands at £198,764 and last week the Place Fund paid £791.70 in which 59 punters collected!

The Big race this week is the BetVictor Gold Cup at Cheltenham and we also have three other races from that venue plus a couple of races from Wetherby.

Selections:

Leg 1: Fourth Act 12/1 Paddy Power

Cracking race to kick off with this week and a 17-runner Grade 3 Chase to look at. Top weight Sausalito Sunrise won this last year but is nearly a stone higher in the ratings now. Jonjo's pair of Beg To Differ and Minella Rocco have to be respected but my idea of a winner is Fourth Act who will be fitter after his recent run and looks like he will appreciate this kind of trip.

Leg 2: Shadows Lengthen 5/1 Paddy Power

Our first trip to Wetherby and a tricky little handicap chase. I backed Shadows Lengthen last time out and see no reason to jump ship here. He carries top weight but is better than this grade on his best form. Of the others Wells De Lune is interesting with Brian Hughes booked to do he steering for trainer Charlie Longsdon. He has been in good form and should be thereabouts.

Leg 3: More Of That 5/1 Bet365

The BetVictor Gold Cup and although a strong renewal i dont this will involve many horses at the business end. I have always liked More Of That and he looks the class horse in the race here. Some of Jonjo's have needed the run but the vibes from the yard are positive about his chances and that will do for me. Of the rest Village Vic ought to go well for the Hobbs/Johnson combo.

Leg 4: Goodbye Dancer 16/1 Skybet

Our first hurdle race of the day and a real stamina test in store over 3m1f. Old favourites Irish Saint and Fingal Bay head the weights and will both have there supporters but i like the Twiston-Davies runner Goobye Dancer who has been busy this season already and will not be lacking in the fitness department. His second at Aintree reads well and jockey Jamie Bargary keeps the ride.

Leg 5: Applesandpierres 4/1 Skybet

Another wide open handicap but this time over 2m. Michael Bell better known for his flat runners saddles Taper Tantrum at the top of the handicap. He won two weak novice races but was soon brushed aside in better company last time. Applesandpierres has his first run for 500 days and is worth keeping an eye on. He was quite impressive when last seen and the Skelton's know how to get one ready.

Leg 6: Who Dares Wins 10/1 Bet365

The final leg is a real puzzle with 19 runners declared for a handicap hurdle over 2m5f. Black Corton from the Nicholls camp looks the likely favourite and comes here seeking a hat-trick. This is his stiffest task to date and others are preferred. Top weight Who Dares Wins ran well on his seasonal debut at Chepstow in a good race and with the Alan King yard in fair form he looks to be a solid selection in a wide open contest.
