Hard to see past Simply Me who goes for the inform Dascombe yard. She won really well over 7f at Wolverhampton having tracked a strong pace and did very well considering forging clear in the final furlong with those behind her being held up in the race. The form of that race is starting to look strong for the grade with the 6^th winning next time out in a claimer and the 7^th finishing 2^nd in  a handicap. Just a 4lb rise looks very lenient for a rapidly improving filly who is in form from a good draw.

Baddilini is a regular over the winter period and is more than capable at this level, at his best he is able to compete at a much higher level than this class 4 handicap. This looks somewhat easier than the last 2 races he has run in at Chelmsford. Dropped a 1lb for those efforts and now 9lb below his last winning marking and with rising Josephine Gordon on board taking off a further 3lb he looks dangerous to dismiss on the back of some reasonable efforts when not really having the run of things especially last time out, this track tends to lend itself to those that need to get out with the cut away and they often fan across the final 2 furlongs. There isn’t a huge amount of pace on so could sit nicely behind the likely front runner of Haaf A Sixpence.
