BillyHills
Tote Scoop6 Amazingly the Pot was not won last week despite it being one of the easiest line ups in weeks. 14 punters got through to the last leg but couldn't find the 12/1 winner Yuften. 138 lucky winners collected £246.60 for bagging the Place Dividend. This week the pot starts at £142,099 and the action comes from Newbury, Doncaster and jump racing from Cheltenham. Selections: Leg 1: King's Fete 7/1 Paddy Power The first leg is the Group 3 St Simon Stakes and the biggest field for donkey's years. 16 line up and it's wide open as you might expect. Western Hymn is the highest rated runner and this type of race may just suit him as will go off at a good pace. Kings Fete will be a popular choice for the Stoute/Smullen partnership and looks the one to beat. Leg 2: Mirza 14/1 Bet365 A 5f competitive sprint handicap is next up and top weight Mirza might be the one to concentrate on here after bouncing back to form last time out. He had been slightly frustrating this season prior to that and now he's hit form he will be worth following. Robot Boy also won last time in good style and is another one to consider. Leg 3: Imperial Aviator 11/2 Paddy Power A Class 2 10f handicap and the weights are headed by Lord Ben Stack who comes here chasing a hat-trick. Other last time out winners are Blair House and Storm Rock but they may all have to play second fiddle to the Charlton runner Imperial Aviator who won over C/D in May and ran well enough last time to suggest a bold show here. Leg 4: UAE Prince 2/1 Bet365 12f handicap at Doncaster and the bottom weight UAE Prince looks a very worthy favourite. He was 3rd on debut at Leicester and then bolted up next time out in the fashion of a very useful sort. His opening mark of 93 looks just about right and has most to fear from the other progressive 3yo To Be Wild. Leg 5: Savello 16/1 BetVictor The only race over jumps and a 15-runner handicap chase to look at. Last years winner Boondooma is in the line up once again and will be keen to get his career back on track. I like the Skelton runner Savello who was 4th in the Grand Annual last march and then won at Kelso after that. Has since had a spin in France and will appreciate a return to this grade. Leg 6: Yucatan 11/10 Betway The big race of the day, The Racing Post Trophy. Aidan O'Brien saddles three of the runners and his Yucatan has been backed as if defeat is out of the question. The colt needs to improve on the form he has shown so far but the vibes are good coming out of Ballydolye. Rivet sets the standard for the form experts and will be the obvious danger.
