David O'Meara has three runners and all of them can be given a chance in this extremely competitive handicap over a mile. Of the trio i prefer Firmament who is also the pick of Danny Tudhope and i'm guessing he did have the choice of mounts. Improving 4yo who won with a bit in hand last time out at Chelmsford and his 5lb weight rise doesnt look too harsh. Prior to that ran 4th to the ill-fated Franklin D and that form is rock solid. Must have a great EW chance here.

Abingdon 5/2 BetVictor

Sir Michael Stoute saddles a useful filly in Abingdon here and she was a touch unlucky last time when the winner Fireglow stole a march on all of her rivals in the Chalice Stakes. Abingdon ran on well to snatch second and i fancy she can go one better here in what looks a weaker race on paper. She had previously won over 10f at Newbury and Ascot and seemed to stay the extra distance at Newmarket and the ground will be ideal.
