I backed this one last week at Salisbury and he finished a decent 3rd in a 5f handicap behind Pine Ridge. That is very solid form and he showed plenty of early pace to grab a good position throughout. That speed will be crucial here on this surface and i expect him to finally get off the mark after some frustrating efforts in handicaps. On bare figures he has the highest rating and the yard continue in good form.

Best race of the day and a pity only 5 runners have bothered to turn up. Looks between the experienced Buckstay and the lightly raced and likely favourite Mitchum Swagger. I just prefer Buckstay has he has two victories on the artificial surface in his form book and ran a blinder last time out in much stronger company. he has been running in some top handicaps also this season and a return to the AW could be the key to get him back on the winning trail.
