Monthly Nap Competition - Friday 1st July 2016

Yet to score from 4 starts but ran a fine race of promise here last time out, family owned, family trained, family jockey and he wont get a better chance than this, track suits, trip suits, going suits, if Chester can get his 4yr old gelding woke up and interested a little bit sooner than last time out they should go close.

2:40 Newton Abbot - Peruvien Bleu.  1pt Win Bet @ 7/1 The Magic Sign

Donc 2.30 - Stanley - win at 8/1 bog wm hill

Maiden for older horses

In general it pays to stick with the 3yos in these older horse maidens because any horse that's still a maiden at 4 or 5 probably isn't much good or has had problems

My horse is a 3yo from the Cumani yard. Nicely bred son of Sea The Stars out of a Dubawi mare.......lots of stamina there for the 12 furlong trip

He's had one run and finished 4th in a Sandown maiden behind 3 horses from big yards. The 5th and 6th have run again since, one winning and one beaten a head. My horse looks sure to be suited by the extra 2 furlongs today

Newton Abbott 3.45 Linguine @ 16/1 bet365

Linguine......from Seamus Durack yard the 6yo been a winner of a hurdle race at 2m 5f on good ground at Kempton two races back when he made all and was a comfortable winner,

His last race 30 days ago at Fontwell 2m 5.5f good saw him 2nd ,was beaten by 7 lengths but did make a couple of mistakes and with the 4lb rise may have been to much , He goes today off same 120 mark but yard are stepping up the distance and with yard having some time to work on stamina and fitness it may be what the horse needs with Conor O'Farrell keeping the ride,
