Thanks to all those who entered. Might get a table up tomorrow night if i get more time on this tomorrow (advice on tables needed, please pm instructions) JUST UPDATED THE SCORING AGAIN AS I MISCALCULATED WITH ADDING THE STAKE IN TWICE - DOH! The early pacesetter is DUBCEE who managed to get his NAP past the post. Closely followed by Tankyman who managed a winner & a place, & Whoneedsrio who had a winner & a NR) At the end of the first day, we managed to find 5 out of the 6 winners so well done to all. :ok 1. Parkbench Rovers 0pts (Indesatchel - Championship point - Mr Ed) 11. Claretkid -5pts (Rakti - Indesatchel - Golden Quest) 11. Mr Muzeman -5pts (Ba Foxtrot - Genari - Golden Quest) 13. Master Joe -10pts (Rakti - Mr Ed - Ad Valoreum) 14. Jonny Rushton -11.88pts (Rakti - Swift Sailor - Oratorio) 15. Munkimafia -13.13pts (Rakti - celtic Mill - Coconut beach) 16. Re: Royal Ascot Tipster comp leaderboard Hi Bowles, The rules say that stakes are included in returns for winning bets but deducted for losing bets. I'm not sure why this should be (seems rather inconsistent to me), but doesn't this mean that, for example, Dubcee gets 65 points for his 10pt winner at 11/2, and loses a total of 15 points for his 5pt and 5pt e/w losers, for a net profit of 50 points?

Re: Royal Ascot Tipster comp leaderboard i originally did that & then I entered the figures into a format of stake - return & found that : e.g 10pts on 11/2 winner full stake for 3 bets = 25pts return plus stake on win bet = 65pts profit = 40pts by doing it that way, its the same for all i think? another example say: stake 3 bets 25pts 5pts on 7/1 winner = 40pts profit would be 15pts you have to remember that the original stake is not your's therefore everyone effectively starts the day with -25pts.

Re: Royal Ascot Tipster comp leaderboard I totally agree that this is the way it should be done. It's just that in the rules you posted, and the examples given there, that's not what it says. I remember some discussion about this during the Cheltenham competition ... not that it made much difference to me then, 'cos all my selections lost! Anyway, I'm quite happy for you to continue doing it the sensible way if nobody else minds.

added you in now striker, soz i didnt even note your selections on my sheet:spank your score works out as 25pts staked - 35pts return (incl of stake) = 10pts profit. Slapdash - i went back over the cheltenham thread & there was confusion as each bet was effectively free. I have taken the stake as being part of the bet so its the same for all anyway.

not sure table will work but here goes! 4949 takes the lead with an impressive 11/1 winner New seeker which was also found by others. Turkoman gets the score of the day with his 10pt nap winning at 7/1:clap

Closely followed by Claretkid who nearly had 3 out of 3 but for a nose! Scouse & Striker also posted good scores. Others managed to get off the mark also with 33 players today but 6 non players (!), dont worry the leader is still catchable - 2 days to go! There are plenty still to find a winner (myself included) :spank but who knows whats round the corner.

Must be thinking they cannot win that prize although a big price winner tomorrow could win it! downjag- only 28 players yesterday & although 3 winners, 4 others landed ew bets which was way down on the previous day when we had 18 scorers out of 33. Hopefully better luck today. 4 days without a winner is not good for me!

Final Ascot Tipster Leaderboard well, it was a close thing in the end, with Deepbluedevilfish lead being uncatchable but was cut down by Tankyman who napped 10/1 winner & had a non runner which was a shame. AnthonyJbowker & 4949 also had a bash with nice winners but their totals were not enough. Only 22 players today out of 39 entrants :\ still, thanks to everyone for entering. I will find out how we get the prize to you Deepbluedevilfish.
