Verdict:

The favourite Minella Rocco got his act together last time out for the first time over fences; he had been making just too many bad errors at crucial times. It’s a big ask to run four miles around here without mishap and that’s my worry with him at such a short price. I would be inclined to take a chance on Definitly Red at the prices, his form is quite solid and will hope for a bit better ground than he encountered last time. Southfield Royale and Noble Endeavor are other possibilities in a very good renewal this year.
