Verdict:

Bristol De Mai is a very solid looking favourite here. He has had six races already over fences, far more than his rivals so wont lack for jumping experience. So far he has jumped pretty well and seems to go on any ground. He hasn’t been here to Cheltenham under any code so that is a slight negative. The Irish challenge doesn’t look as good this season when you think the likes of Vautour and Sir Des Champs have won this for them in the past. Outlander sets the standard and Shaneshill might even be a bigger danger to the home runners. At bigger prices we have Garde La Victoire and Three Muskateers, I like both of these and tempted to back both at what I think are value prices each way.
