stereoman
Re: Ricky Hatton v Kostya Tszyu 5th June/Boxing Thread I like Blue Square....always inventive but if Frank Warren finds out about this market, they're gonna get thumped! :lol Who will Hatton fight first? Diego Corrales 4/5 Vivian Harris 4/1 Floyd Mayweather Jr 8/1 Arturo Gatti 8/1 Kostya Tszyu (rematch) 10/1 Miguel Cotto 12/1 Junior Witter 20/
dave
Re: Ricky Hatton v Kostya Tszyu 5th June/Boxing Thread He won't be fighting Mayweather, Gatti or Cotto next - they're all on HBO. There won't be a rematch - if Tszyu keep on fighting it will be at 147. Witter, no chance. Corrales looks possible if he steps up in weight. BUT, I can see Hatton getting an easy defence - partly for the easy pay day, and partly to fight someone ranked high by the IBF. It will have to be a big name, so looking at the IBF rankings Shamba Mitchell looks very likely. I'd be interested to see if they quote some odds for Any Other
dave
Re: Ricky Hatton v Kostya Tszyu 5th June/Boxing Thread Also, Vivian Harris already apparently turned down good money to fight Hatton, and went to fight Otkay Urkal in Germany instead. dave
Re: Ricky Hatton v Kostya Tszyu 5th June/Boxing Thread In fact, Witter may have a chance. Frank Warren is taking boxing back to ITV. I don't know which boxers will be on there, but what better start could he make than Hatton v Witter. A big domestic match up to get the general public interested. The Americans wouldn't mind it too much now after Witter's win over N'Dou. Still don't think it's likely, but you never know.

stereoman
Re: Boxing Tonight - Tyson comeback I woke up at around 10am this morning woken up by the news that Tyson had lost. Amazing. Do you think he got more money for this fight or more money for losing this fight? Jesus! Two boxers in the space of a week who were generally favoured to win their fights, who both have had only three fights in three years and both quit on their stools! What were the odds of THAT?! :lol
