BigMozzyDog
Bangladesh vs UAE There is some value to be had in the UAE top batter market, especially they get routed for a pretty low score. Usman Mushtaq will stride out at 6/7, and may be in the perfect position to register an innings high score. This could be an enormous price if he walks out at 30/5. You can back Usman Mushtaq to be top UAE batter at 33/1 with Stan James. BigMozzyDog
4pts Sri Lanka to win at 8/13 with Bet365 Sri Lanka have been a side in transition for some time, having lost some of their more dangerous power hitters to retirement, or in Kusal Perera’s case, suspension. That means they are largely reliant on the seemingly ageless Dilshan, Dinesh Chandimal and Angelo Mathews to provide the batting know how. After a chastening defeat in this format against India just a couple of weeks ago, it will take character to turn their form around when they take on the hosts. But character isn’t something that’s lacking in the Sri Lankan dressing room, with some big characters and calm heads complementing the youth. Milinda Siriwardana is a name that many Sri Lankans will hope to hear a lot of over the next month or so, with the allrounder taking on responsibility at three, and bowling his handy spin. A late comer to international cricket, Siriwardana has already garnered praise from Kumar Sangakkara for his abilities. Less of a big hitter than many, his busy approach could be just what Sri Lanka need to build their innings around, after a series of low scores. Batting is a real problem for Bangladesh, and they will have to rely on the middle-order exploits of Mahmudullah, Shakib and Rahim to break the 16-170 barrier. Neither of these sides are convincing, and this is a game that is much closer than it look in the form book, but we are still going with Sri Lanka, who will have just enough to come out on top. BigMozzyDog
Keeper, Swapnil Patil showed some fight against Sri Lanka with a battling 37 at a run a ball. His story is an interesting one. A close friend of Ajinkya Rahane, Patil struggled to get into the Ranji Trophy side for his beloved Mumbai, kept out by Sameer Dinghe, a veteran who saw of many a young pretender. Now he faces the prospect of going up against the same international bowlers as his old friend, albeit with less chance of winning. His first class average is over 50, and he has a best of 99 in ODIs. 2pts Patil to be top UAE batter at 8/1 with Coral.
