Two jumps and two AW meetings

I see we have a few Naps on the AW, no comments though as per usual. (must be guessing)

Ludlow is frosty and needs a thaw before 10am to pass the next inspection, two short priced fav's are the best bets. Bugs Malone and Mendip Express pays about 2/1 for the double. I'd quite fancy Mendip Express for the National if i knew he was going there, now he's hunter chasing he could go for the Foxhunters instead. He's a very talented horse, now with Hobbsy.

Doncaster has a nice balanced meeting and my nap goes in the veterans chase at 3.30. Should be a cracking race and some nice animals are now qualified to run in these races this year. Henderson has  great record in the novice races at Donny and has the fav in the opener. I personally wouldn't want to steam in at Evens and my ratings give The Unit a good chance and a bet to nowt EW on him is my idea of a wager.

 

Nap:  330 Doncaster: Reaping The Reward 6/1 Hills

Fascinating veterans chase here and i was torn between the selection Reaping The Reward and course specialist Night In Milan. I respect the fav Godsmejudge who is very well handicapped but he needs to back up his fine run last time, for me that doesn't wipe out lots of poor runs prior to that. Night In Milan won over hurdles last time out and his last two starts over fences were not that great, gets his conditions today and will attempt to make all no doubt. I reckon he will go close but just prefer the consistent Reaping The Reward. He hated the heavy ground last time at Sandown but had to run for the money on offer in the veterans final. He ran a cracker to finish 3rd to Soll and is still fairly handicapped. Now back on decent ground this very strong traveller should be able to hunt up behind the pace and make his challenge over the last two fences. Of the front three he represents the best value to me.
