There is no obvious front runner in this field which could cause a problem for a few of these however a chance is taken on the rapidly improving Dougan for the in form Evans yard.

Cosey winner last time out on the back of a maiden win on just 2^nd start. Pulled to the front travelling well and the way he went about it would suggest he could front run if needed. A 4lb rise looks very lenient given his unexosed profile and the way he travelled into the race last time out.

This is the oldest horse in the race by some way and that would ordinarily put me off but the ground is going to be desperate here and that often favours the older horses. The horse is 1 of only 2 c&d winners in the field and the booking of a top 7lb claimer means that the horse could be on a very winnable mark especially since the horse revels in this ground.  The horses last 2 wins have been at this course and the horse could be produced late to hopefully get up close home.
