7.45 Chelmsford

For the class of race this looks weak, Top Boy is largely consistent and has dropped to a good mark however he struggles to get his head in front and is always worth taking on.

Kingscroft has found some form again recently in sellers and claimers, handicapper taken a dim view of those and given him a 3lb rise so he remains 5lb above his last handicap winning mark.

Greyfriarschorista hasn’t been seen for sometime well over a year, he is on a workable mark and first time tongue tie is interesting however his best form in recent years has come at Southwell and is probably best watched on first run for a longtime and away from there.

Rich Again made hay at the turn of the year with 4 wins at Wolverhampton, sturggled for form of late however has dropped 3lb below last winning mark and a return to AW may help interesting runner.

Subversive was a good second last time out in a weaker race, 2lb below last winning mark but is not the most reliable and isnt guaranteed to back that effort up

Spring Loaded bounded clear a week ago at Kempton in a decent race beating Strategic Force, 6lb penalty looks light and is due to go up 9lb for that effort so has a solid chance. However I prefer Stategic Force at the prices with a 6lb turnaround in the weights for 3.5 lengths. He was best of those held up by a long way. He seems a reliable sort on the AW and is only 2lb above his last winning mark and still looks potentially progressive on the AW with the yard continuing to have a really good spell.

The Happy Hammer tends to turn up when he feels like it and is rarely a betting proposition these days.

Pendo has 1 win from 22 starts, he has been running ok of late without looking a real threat and is now 2lb above last winning mark.

Jam Jar is the least exposed of this field with just 4 runs, debut handicap run last time out was a little flat, handicapper quick to drop her 3lb which allows her to get into this 0-65 handicap now. Yard going pretty well at present and always pose a risk running one like this on the AW.

Venus Grace was only just reeled in by an inform sort last time out over CD, 3lb higher today and unlikely to get such a soft time again. Remains a maiden and needs to pull out a little more.

Alfaraaby is an intetresting runner from the Evans yard who usually have a good AW season, not beaten too far last 2 runs and now drops back dramatically in trip and first time blinkers reached for, remains a maiden but if the blinkers pull out a little more can see him going well at a price.

1pt e/w Alfaraaby 8/1 PP
