j8.15 Chelmsford Good card at Chelsmford tonight and it has a couple of typical low class handicaps which look fairly competitive and well worth a play in. Fossa has a fair record on the AW but has been off since April and losing run is stacking up now and still remains 3lb above last winning mark. Indus Valley has proved a good horse for connections having won both of turf and AW plenty of times. Winner last time out in a selling handicap at Brighton off a mark of 57 over 7f, 4lb higher today. Yet to win off a mark this high in Britain and might be best watched returned to 6f. Daring Dragon is another winner last time out around here, 5lb higher today clearly demands a lot more and a career best. That race last time out was a very poor race and the form has not worked out since. Bubbly Bailey has bounced back to form recently, but hasn’t been seen for nearly 2 months and is another needing a career best off this sort of mark. Foxford a winner last time out at Kempton, runs under a penalty today which is probably a good move given the style he won however overall profile suggests he is not the obvious sort to backup that effort up. Ryan Style has become one to steer clear of despite running some good placed efforts has not got head infront since June 2011 despite dropping a long way in the weights. Gladsome is still a maiden after 26 starts but appears to have improved for the switch of yard with a good effort off basement mark last time out over this CD and it may be this trip is the key to him however a 3lb rise in the handicap looks harsh without the fact he is running from 3lb out of the handicap. Ben Hall might be the answer, 2^nd by a neck last time out at Wolves over this trip, 1lb lower today but due to go back up 5lb so this could be his golden opportunity. Has dropped a long way in the weights after a huge losing run since joining this yard from Gosden however Carr going well currently in last 14 days 20 runners 4 winners and 5 placed efforts. 2pt win Ben Hall 3/1 bet365 8.45 Chelmsford Royal Caper hasn’t won off a mark this high before and although he is better than the placings suggest the last twice has something to prove off top weight. Schottische has dropped to 1lb below her last winning mark, however she does need a strong pace to chase and that seems unlikely in this race. Decisive only has 5 runs to her name and best effort yet last time out when 2^nd at Brighton over 6f, could get a soft lead here today if new yard decide to stick with the front runner tactics. Slight concern over the step up in trip but is certainly a very interesting runner despite the 2month lay off for new yard. Roxie Lot probably ran her best race to date last time out at Kempton over 7f. Step up in trip looks likely to suit and should go well. Honiton Lace looks the value for me, far too bigger price. A infrequent winner however a good 2^nd at Brighton last time out over this trip off todays mark, has won off a 11lb higher mark on turf and could easily get a soft lead in this race without any obvious out and out front runner.
