3.20 Lingfield Strange looking race with nearly all of these fully exposed and hide nothing from the handicapper these days but all can be given some chance on recent form. Refuse Collete was a winner last time out on turf off a higher turf mark however AW form no where near as good, may well get a soft lead in this race though and has to be consider despite awful AW record. Showtime Star has proved consistent of late but best form has come on the fibresand surface at Southwell and looks limited on polytrack. Head Space won on penultimate start before not really looking to have any excuses last time out off revised mark and needs to bounce back today, on a workable mark however only win on polytrack came at Kempton off a 2lb lower mark. Drive On might not have shown much of late mainly on turf but has a good record on the polytrack with 4 wins and 6 placed efforts from 17 starts, has dropped to last winning mark so must have a chance if bouncing back. Whaleweigh Station is not without hope but has not lived up to expectations after his impressive maiden win and of all of these has something to prove he is up to this mark. Dangerous Age is another with a good record on the polytrack surface, she has dropped to 2lb below last polytrack win but has put 2 lesser efforts in recently and doesn’t appear as consistent as once was. Lead A Merry Dance has been consistant of late but needs to step up to win off this mark. York Glory is my selection and might be worth taking a chance on, on a lengthy losing run and struggling for form over past couple of years however a return to the polytrack may bring about some improvement. 3 wins and 3 placed efforts from 8 runs on the AW, and has dropped to a very attractive mark. 1pt e/w York Glory 12/1 Hills 4.55 Lingfield A race full of unreliable sorts and lacks any depth whatsoever. Lily Edge does atleast know how to win however has showed little of late with no real excuses. Everywish is not fully exposed after 4 runs but has shown nothing to date and needs to show a lot more. Athenian Garden was only just beaten last time out, 3lb rise in the weights for that run. Remains a maiden after 17 runs and isn’t the most reliable and unlikely to back that effort up especially from a wide draw and stepping up in trip. Hermosa Vaquera is another with a 2nd to his name last time out, concerns over his stamina stepping up in trip here today didn’t appear to see that race out over 2f shorter last time out. Yet to win on the flat. Dainty Daisy has had 3 runs and now qualifies for handicap however has shown nothing in maidens but worth monitoring in the betting. San Quentin may be the answer to a tricky puzzle. Been off the track nearly 3 months, won as a 3yr after a break and off a mark of 48, runs off 46 today with the Ivory yard going fairly well at the moment he should go well. 2pt win San Quentin 13/2 BetVictor
