Anyone else playing the Grand Prix. Managed to win my seat at the weekend. They are talking about needing 10,000 entrys to meet the guarantee.. Going to play the friday live of the bank holiday weekend. would be very nice to make 60th as I did last time. If not then I will go and play cash again in Nottingham and try and make some money.

Re: DTD Grand Prix Million Managed to win another day 1 seat the other night so I am going to play Day 1 online this weekend and then Day 1 live next friday. 2 Day 2's over the bank holiday weekend and you can play both so thats my target. Day 3 on bank holiday monday. If you make it through both Day 2's, biggest stack goes through and the other stack should give u at least a min payout. Interesting structure

Re: DTD Grand Prix Million Terrible day playing live Day 1. Within 30 mins have lost 40,000 of my 50,000 chips. First get QQ in late pos. Called by small blind. Flop is KK2. He checks I raise, he calls. Turn is Q. He bets I raise 6000. He calls. River is a 2. I check and he bets half the pot. I call and he has K10. Should have folded. Lose 16000'. Then get AA. I raise 2 limpers, both call.. flop is j84 rainbow.bet the pot and both call.turn is Q. Bet again and both call. River is a 4. No flush but possible river. I bet again and reraised by big blind who is really loose and has already buffed at pots with big river bets. After going in tank I call and he shows 109. An hour later he takes me out when my A9 is beaten by K10 with a flush. So bad day but I still have tomorrows Day 2

Re: DTD Grand Prix Million Playing day 2a. 340 started with 206 paid.Terrible start. 1st hand 1010. Raise called by blind who has A8. Flop AA8. Loose 30,000. Now on bubble, 208 left. Down to 279,000 with blinds at 10,000/20000. But should make money. Min cash $300.

Re: DTD Grand Prix Million Made the money for $300, but sick end. Short stack in early shoves his 200,000 with AQ.. I wake up with AK. Shove my 300000 but blind then shoves over the top with JJ. Has us both covered. Hits trips on the flop. Out in 203. Still can`t complain. Cost me 2 1p rolls to qualify and I won $300 extras cash in the satellites so after expenses up about $500.

Re: DTD Grand Prix Million For those who have never played the Grand Prix at Dusk til Dawn it is definitely worth playing. The hard part is qualification. Yes you can buy in for £80. but depending where you live the overheads can make it expensive. I have played the last 2 and cashed in both. However what makes it profitable for me is that I have qualified through the partypoker 1p rolls. Yes they can be frustrating. On average it has taken me 10 to qualify for the next level. In addition since the link up between partypoker and Dusk til Dawn they have been offering Grand prix seats for the top 20 in the $10,000 daily tourny. I have managed to win 2 seats this way and also to cash in the $10,000 for £250 in the last 3 weeks. Even allowing for the overheads in Nottingham I am up £900 over the last 2 Grand Prix's. The biggest issue is the variations in style of play. The online sats are very loose. Days 1 at Dusk til Dawn also tend to be very very loose. However if you make Day 2 it then tends to be a fairly typical live tournament. However by Day 2 the blinds are brutal so you really need an above average stake to make the money. its a good way both to enjoy live tournament and to make some cash. Worth having a go
