Ire to Britain

Recommended Posts

I'm going to attempt to list any runners, which I think have a good chance of winning, who are having their first run in Britain after being brought over from Ireland in either maiden hurdles, handicap hurdles and handicap chases. I'll do my best to post other statistics and trainer's thoughts, too, as it can certainly be a bit of a lottery as to whether they are going to do well. So here's the first stat for you; since 2014, there have been 291 such runners and 52 of them have won. That's almost 18% and represents a +44% ROI (128pt profit).

Re: Ire to Britain Today sees two runners that are now with new trainers after previously racing in Ireland. Asknotwhat runs in 2:00 at Plumpton, for trainer David Bridgwater. When applying the above, he has no previous runners that fit this criteria. His website provides no information about the runner. The 4yo is now with his third trainer, has had 14 races and a single win. The runner is currently third fav in this maiden hurdle, although Bridgwater has not had a maiden hurdle winner this year despite having several winners at Plumpton. NO BET Romeo Is Bleeding takes part in the 3:15 at Ludlow for trainer David Rees. He has had 3 such runners since 2014 and 1 winner. The runner last ran 590 days ago, which we also need to take into consideration but has been awarded nb by The Guardian. The 9yo has had 11 runs and no wins but heads into his first handicap hurdle. Rees is one in one at Ludlow this year. 1pt ew - 12/1 Coral
