Re: Nap of the day Sat 28th march 2015 3.45 Doncaster - Bertiewhittle 1pt win @ 40/1 SkyBet Bertiewhittle goes against pretty much all of the trends for this race but he could be one that goes well at a price. I think it's surprising they haven't tried this horse over 1m more often as he usually finishes his races off very well over 7f. He has only had 1 attempt at a mile in this country with that effort coming at Kempton. He finished 2nd that day in a listed contest being Sirius Prospect, which is not a bad effort at all. One thing that can be said about this horse is that he is quite frustrating and probably hasn't won as many races as he should have. The last time he ran from around this mark he finished a fast finishing 2nd behind Heaven's Guest at Ascot off 1lb higher. The absence doesn't worry me as he does go well fresh and the ground will be no problem whatever happens. One big negative however could be his draw as he is drawn low. He will also require plenty of luck in running if he is held up as he usually is. Graham Gibbons however is in fine form at the moment so not many better to do the steering on this one tomorrow.

Re: Nap of the day Sat 28th march 2015 3.45 Doncaster (22 runners) A really interesting Lincoln, but not one for getting too carried away with, so a small wager on Fire Ship who looks high enough in the weights but has been running well in better company than this and claimer should keep him competitive on a straight course he will enjoy (1213347). Fire Ship 0.5pt E/W @ 33/1 >BetVictor

Re: Nap of the day Sat 28th march 2015 1.45 Kempton Lingfield Lass 1pt win 14/1 bet365 Lingfield Lass is the one i keep coming back to for the Jim Best yard , they actually trained the sire to win fto as a 2yo , dam placed twice as a 2yo from 3 starts , yard have a decent enough s/r with fto juveniles at kempers , 1/3 in the lambing months so im cautiously optimistic.

Re: Nap of the day Sat 28th march 2015 Doncaster 3.45 - Mooharib (0.5pts each way, 14/1 BetVictor) Mooharib who had a good 2014 campaign racing over this trip and won 3 times over the mile. Looks to be a horse who is still improving and should be more to come if He can maintain his upward curve from last year. He is also a course winner having scored on his only start at the track last June.

Re: Nap of the day Sat 28th march 2015 2.35 Doncaster: Cammidge Trophy (Listed) Wide open renewal. The ground is drying out and that may catch a couple out, particularly last years winner Dinkum Diamond. On the other hand the ground may not be quite quick enough for Naadirr, who i like allot, but under a penalty would only be confident enough in with quick ground. Astaire will find this easier than the top races he contested in last season. He is a worthy favourite, but not more than a fair price. As the value here, I fancy the filly Perfect Blessings to go well. Still rather lightly raced, she looked promising in spring last year and may do better now as a four year old than her last two results may suggest. If she is fit today, she could outrun her price with conditions to suit. 1/4 odds EW with Coral looks tasty here. Perfect Blessings @ 33/1 Coral - E/W

Re: Nap of the day Sat 28th march 2015 4.05 Chelmsford Another similarly competitive handicap with most of the field that can be given a chance. Cadeaux Power improved on debut for this stable when winning a weak looking 6 runner maiden, opening mark of 80 looks harsh and will certainly need to improve again. Showtime Star won last time out at Southwell and is becoming a Southwell specialist and therefore needs to prove as effective away from that. Rich Again is another that has improved this winter however that improvement has come at Wolverhampton and hasn’t been as good away from there. Colourbearer is another on a roll at present winning his last 3 starts 2 at Southwell and latest around here, scoring narrowly but perhaps with something to spare given his run style of coming from behind. 2lb rise looks lenient, latest effort was a career best but clearly on an upward curve for this yard. 1pt win Colourbearer 7/2 bet365

Re: Nap of the day Sat 28th march 2015 3.10 Doncaster - 1pt win Burano @ 25/1 (Hills) Not sure where you're going to want to be, but got to hope there's pace on the inside and Amanda Perrett's charge could be overpriced. Whilst true, much of his best form is over further, and doesn't win often, but his extra stamina may suit in such a big straight mile handicap like this where you'll need to get home. Will have needed his recent return for a yard in form and is well-handicapped on his best.

Re: Nap of the day Sat 28th march 2015 410- Stratford: What A Good Night 7/2 Sky/Hills Won twice and ended up on the floor twice but looks a progressive type and i like the way the stable have been going lately. This is a decent prize for this grade and i think he's still fairly handicapped on 116 and has won around here when trained by Twiston-Davies.

Re: Nap of the day Sat 28th march 2015 5.50 Chelm - Topamichi - win at 15/8 bog boyles 10f handicap Couple of non runners have left just 4 in the 10f handicap That won't bother my fellow as he won from the front over this CD last time out and he won't care how many horses there are behind him .......he won't be looking for cover! Joe Fanning keeps the ride and is well regarded as one of the best front running jockeys around The three rivals all look OK, quite promising types, but none of them have had a recent run and of course none of them have ran here before. Hopefully my selection can put his race fitness to good use and run the legs off them
