Crouch Potato
Re: Joburg Open > February 26th - March 1st Lucas Bjerregaard @ 151 Bet365 E/W 1/4 1-5 The dane ended 2014 strongly with a 5th in Hong Kong and a 4th in Perth. Though 2015 has yielded a run of poor finishes the truth is last time he played in South Africa he played in the final group on Sunday, beginning just 1 shot behind eventual winner Branden Grace. That Sunday proved to be a horror show as he shot an inexplicable 89 so a return to this country could go either way for him. However, with a relative weak field here and a course measuring near on 7600 yards, Bjerregaard's distance off the tee is going to be a real asset as he ranks 3rd on the European Tour this year with a 309.1 average. Striker
Re: Joburg Open > February 26th - March 1st Good luck Top Spaniard Carlos Del Moral Each Way @ 14-1 [skybet] 1/5 123 Has played well in all 3 tournaments entered this year, and has ok past form in this tournament. Is a big hitter which is an advantage here, and with only 11 rivals in this market these odds seem generous enough to risk a £ or two
Tedthewolf
Re: Joburg Open > February 26th - March 1st Would be no big surprise to see a south african win this again but for me its two fat outsiders e/w both from England and both 100/1 shots SIMON DYSON & TOM LEWIS they have no form here both missed the cut last year that was SD first attempt here while TL only other outing was the previous year when 38th. Dyson's form can only get better this year really missed cuts and a couple down the field efforts he is a much better player than that while Lewis had a much better effort on his last outing than his previous 2015 form he seems to go ok in the first two rounds but struggles on the last two if he sharpens the last two rounds up could play a part here
kevshat
Re: Joburg Open > February 26th - March 1st Tournament preview: 1pt ew B-H.An to win Joburg Open 22/1 Stan James (1/4 1-5) Byeong Hun An has been a man on my radar for a while now but I’ve been waiting for the right time to strike and that time has arrived. He has started his debut season on tour brilliantly. The Korean was in the top 15 in all three tournaments on the Desert Swing in much stronger fields than this one and he has previous around here too having been right in the mix 12 months ago before a poor final round cost him. He is in much better form now and much more established and he should deliver a big tournament this week. kevshat
Re: Joburg Open > February 26th - March 1st Top Continental European preview: 1pt ew M-O.Madsen Top Continental European 18/1 Stan James (1/4 1-4) Morten Orum Madsen won in South Africa last year and has already gone well in 2015 when he put up a good showing in the Dubai Desert Classic. He isn’t always the straightest off the tee but he is long and that can get him around the East course easier than a few others. His overall record in South Africa is pretty good which is encouraging and so with his form coming into the event providing further confidence he looks a big price in this field at 18/1. Crouch Potato
Re: Joburg Open > February 26th - March 1st Crazy leaderboard! 14 within 3 and the leader 2 clear so if he falters it could be anyone's game. Good luck Ted! :hope
