Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday February 7th Nottingham Forest sacked Stuart Pierce and replaced him with Dougie Freeman. They defeated Derby away from home three weeks ago turning around the match in the second half with an impressive performance. Brighton´s upturn in form came to an end with a loss at Blackpool last week. Their home record (3-6-5) is poor and Kazenga Lua Lua probably won´t play. Fired up by a new manager in charge Forest can get something out of this match. Nottingham Forest +0, 25 @ 2,04 Pinnacles

Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday February 7th Im not sure about how Forest would react to Dougie Freeman's hiring, but I think Brighton's play in recent games make them real favorites for this game. Their attack is really clicking right now, and odds for a Seagull win looks really yummy considering Forest's recent form.

Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday February 7th For me today Derby AHC-1 is a good bet. Bolton last weeks with strong and lot of Fixtures. Today against an for me personaly best and deepest squad from the quality view is too much. Derby playing very good Attacking Football at Home and i think after all that Games including this clash under midweek against Liverpool in Carling Cup is too much to handle it about the whole 90 Minutes. On Derby Side Albentosa and Buxton maybe only on the bench. Derby AHC-1 @ 2.05 5/10 Marathonbet

Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday February 7th Derby County- Bolton Wanderers Bolton will, of course, be able to switch their squad around a lot from midweek, with most of the cup tied players available for selection, but boss Neil Lennon is not going to want to blood them all together, having said that, there are plenty of senior and established players missing and or nursing injuries, or suffering the effects of the match against Liverpool. Saidy Janko must wait for his Bolton debut as the club puts the final touches to his loan move from Manchester United, Adam Bogdan , Mark Davies, Max Clayton , Marc Tierney , Darren Pratley and Emile Heskey are all injured, Matt Mills and Craig Davies will be subject to late tests, Neil Danns is suspended. As well as they played for periods in midweek, they did look vulnerable at the back and gave the ball away too quickly and easily and it is fairly easy to see why they have now conceded eight in three starts and previous opponents, Rotherham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are not two teams who put you under the kind of constant pressure that Liverpool and also Derby County do. We have discussed the Rams a huge amount over the last nine months, but we can stick to their two most recent outings, firstly the home defeat of Blackburn Rovers ...... Most of you know that I hold Derby County in pretty high regard and they are one of our three outright bets in the Championship that are all going well, we desperately need one of those to oblige as the other three leagues have not gone according to plan ! Dream case scenario for me would be a Middlesbrough-Brentford 1-2, that would be my birthday and Christmas gifts for the next 20 years in one neatly wrapped package and we can all dream ! In the meantime, we want to keep County as a back up and this is a very big game for them in terms of automatic promotion hopes. Both played in the FA Cup at the weekend, County won their derby game with Chesterfield 2-0 , it was a very big deal for their neighbours who were really up for the match and brought massive support with them. The Spirites did well , had a lot of possession and chances to score, but at the end of the day the Rams won by two , also hit the woodwork and got through , they were rewarded with a very winable home tie against Reading, but it is 100% about promotion for them. County do have the squad to battle on two fronts, so it is not a major concern right now, but make no mistake, this is the more important fixture of the two home games. Bryson, Dawkins, Ward, Russell, Shotton and Warnock were all on the bench at the weekend, each would probably start each week in 80% of teams at this level and are an indication of the options that Steve McClaren has. I have seen both play at Griffin Park this season, both lost, but County were on a completely different level and I told you at the time that Rovers supporters did not feel they were playing as well as results suggested and that has been borne out since and they have fallen significantly off the playoff pace. They also made it through to R5 of the FA Cup at the weekend, beating Swansea City 3-1, the game was in the balance until late, despite the Swans playing almost the entire game with ten men, they got a home tie with Stoke City as reward, but for now, it will be all about trying to get back into the hunt for a top 6 place. That looks beyond them on what I have seen and read, but they will give it a go and that will probably mean looking for three points this evening and perhaps showing more attacking intent than many teams do at the IPro Stadium. Both teams picked up knocks on Saturday, but the greater options lie with County, who have already beaten Rovers, winning the reverse fixture 3-2, the Rams were coasting there 3-1 up after conceding in the first minute, they totally dominated the first hour after that and then needlessly put themselves under some late pressure, but I feel they could win a little more comfortably this evening. Secondly, they win at Cardiff City last weekend .......They won that (v Rovers) 2-0 with new striker Darren Bent scoring both goals, now with Bent and Chris Martin upfront, they have two proven strikers with almost 300 goals between them. Bent is an ace poacher and he has 24 goals and 16 assists in 52 appearances in the Championship, a contribution every 109 minutes. That could be just what they need to get them over the line and boss Steve McClaren is still hoping to get one more signing in before the transfer window closes on Monday. This is a good opportunity against a team in transition and who have already lost at home to Watford, Brentford, Bournemouth and Norwich, four fellow promotion candidates who all scored three or more goals. Home boss Russell Slade has been ordered to cut the wage bill and been allowing some of the bigger wage earners to leave, bringing players in who are not really of true upper level Championship quality and this is a club who look set to go backwards, before they can move forward again. They have now also lost central defender Ben Turner for the rest of this season and they have conceded seven goals in the last two starts he has missed. The home crowd urges City forward here and County are ideally suited to playing on the break and have the quality to win this with a degree of comfort, like the four previously named big winners here, all of whom are quick to turn defence into attack. Again another 2-0 win and good to hs word, Steve McClaren added not one , but two players to his squad with the addition of Tom Ince (from Hull) and Jesse Lingard (Manchester United), I have no idea how he is going to keep everyone happy, but he has a surplus of options now, all will be hungry to start and know that they have to up their game when they do, to get continued game time. The board has, if not broke the bank, put huge faith in the coach to get them over the line this time and they simply have to be winning games like this at this stage of the season. If there is any hangover from midweek, the Rams, who are very fast starters and 14-1 (goals scored-conceded) at home before the break will find it out and take advantage, the visitors are 5-14 (goals scored- conceded) on the road in the first half. There are options there of course, but I will stick with 1.25 units Derby County -1 ball 2.01 asian line/Sportmarket.
