Re: Liverpool v West Ham > Saturday January 31st When asked if his team would be fatigued after 120 mins with Liverpool leading up to the Man City showdown, Mourinho said yes the players are tired but tired after you win and tired after you lose are two different things. So here we have the team who lost at Stamford Bridge. Rodgers played his strongest 11, the players gave everything and pushed the league leaders all the way but finally succumbing to a trademark late Ivanovic header (which always seem to be important ones). So they must be physically and emotionally drained after two great battles with Chelsea and the 0-0 with Bolton. West Ham meanwhile had all week to prepare for this, have Downing and Carroll who will be itching for a good display and meet Liverpool just at the right time. --Liverpool's middle two of Henderson and Lucas aren't as good as Song and Noble (Kouyate may return who is a decent grafter) --Crosses into Andy Carroll can cause problems for the back 3 of Skrtel, Can and Sakho. --Liverpool are playing 3-4-3 with emphasis on speed and attack. However this is maybe the most vulnerable system for counters down the flanks. West Ham have Sakho and Valencia who thrive in these very situations where they can attack space and there's always the option of Carroll loitering in the middle. They provide good foils for each other and give West Ham variety in attack. --Hammers are undefeated in their last 5 in all competitions Considering all this, if Liverpool do manage a win, I can't believe they will win by 2 clear goals. So the +1 AH @ 1.84 on West Ham (most books) seems high where even if they lose by a goal, we don't lose money. --Liverpool only have 1 win and 4 draws in their last 5 at home in all competitions. A draw here is profit. :ok Team news Sturridge is in the squad, but first match back I'm counting on him being off the pace still and not starting. Mamadou Sakho injured his back v Chelsea and is a doubt. Hopefully he is out and Glen Johnson plays. Brendan Rodgers upon discovering Daniel Sturridge was fit for a return: https://v.cdn.vine.co/r/videos_h264high/6D446242C61171510905809346560_SW_WEBM_142228410943 408ca0a9edb.mp4?versionId=GAU712ZuaSmaN6h6IhvPS2Ar O_EXx0zX
