Flat Racing 4th November

12.40 Southwell Pretty dreadful lineup and not likely to take much winning with several out of the handicap even at this basement level. Easy to cross several of these off. Rocky Road won on penultimate start in heavy ground at Brighton, heavy ground often translates well here although always dubious about Brighton heavy form, never got involved last time out on soft over further but drops back today and needs to bounce back, yet to race on this surface. Admirable Art has been plying his trade in sellers last twice, he is another yet to try this surface but plenty of form on heavy. On a good mark 2lb below last handicap win. Bitaphon has been badly out of shape when last seen including over this CD, has a chance on handicap but record fresh is patchy. Master Of Song might be worth a risk after a short break and a return to this surface. He is currently 9lb below last winning mark around here and runs from a good draw. Llandanwg is another worth a chance given he is the least exposed with just 6 runs to date. Best effort to date last time out at Ayr. Unknown if he will handle this surface or not but has scope for improvement unlike most of these. 1pt win Master Of Song 6/1 bet365 1pt win Llandanwg 4/1 bet365 3.10 Southwell Moidore was below form latest but previously running well, this somewhat easier but perhaps held by the handicapper at present and unraced on this surface. Cousin Khee is an interesting runner 1 from 1 on fibresand and is 2 from 4 over this trip. This race is somewhat tougher than his last race here and is 9lb higher today not sure about the 7/4 on offer. Arabian Revolution has failed to go on from his maiden debut win, handicapper slow to relent but first time visor tried. Cropley remains a maiden but has put 2 good efforts together latest on turf, unraced on this surface however trains here so yard will know what they have got. Record fresh not great. Kingscombe looks a huge price in this field returned to this surface. A real specialist around here 6 wins from 8 starts. Last seen here in April winning by over 3 lengths off the same mark he runs off today having been kept ticking over over the summer. Dangerous to dismiss this proven course specialist despite not guaranteed to see this extended trip out. 2pt win Kingscombe 6/1 bet365 6.40 Kempton Brown Pete is on a long losing run has now dropped to 16lb below that last winning mark. Showed a bit more promise last time out on return from a break needs to back that up today. Norfolk Sound is lightly raced and best effort to date last time out on 3rd handicap try and first run on the AW, that race doesn’t look the strongest but clearly scope for improvement. Innoko narrowly scored last time out in a handicap backing up his effort in a classified event, both at Wolves. More on his plate today off a 5lb higher mark and step up in trip but clearly going the right way currently and in good form. Mcbirney might be the value in the field. Given a real chance by the handicapper giving him the chance to compete in a 0-60 for the first time in a long while. He is 2 from 7 around here and the booking of Baker looks a strong booking. 1pt e/w McBirney 12/1 bet365
