Nap of the Day - Sunday 12th Oct 2014

Re: Nap of the Day - Sunday 12th Oct 2014 1745 goodwood whipper snapper @ 12/1 pp kirby takes Over the ride and has ridden this one twice and both were arguably the horses best runs. (1st &2nd). Ground and trip should be fine and ladbrokes price this one up at 7s so have to take pp 12s. Has only ever won one race on turf and that was on soft ground running on well over7f so this one must run well.

Re: Nap of the Day - Sunday 12th Oct 2014 Goodwood 2:30 Lightning Charlie 1pt win @ 11-10 Bet365 Small field for this maiden and the selection brings good form from what appeared to be a decent Newbury race on good to soft ground. The form of those with experience looks to be well below that of Lightning Charlie and the unraced horse in the field is friendless in the market.

Re: Nap of the Day - Sunday 12th Oct 2014 G5.45 Monsieur Chevalier e/w 16/1 Bet365 This horse has the all important course form here and is 2 from 4 at the track. Also seems to run its best races with some give underfoot and the jockey is a decent one. Falling down the handicap as well and a return to this course off this mark looks to indicate that it's overpriced here

Re: Nap of the Day - Sunday 12th Oct 2014 2.45 Ffos Las: Mister Grez 11/8 PP This looks a good thing in the race he won last year, 5 lbs higher now but an improved horse after his first year in this country. Skelton yard is flying and worth following when the horses are in this kind of form. Often well backed and has been a beaten fav three times so probably not the most reliable of performers but i cant see anything to trouble him here.

Re: Nap of the Day - Sunday 12th Oct 2014 Goodwood 2:00 - Flying Light WIN @ 11/1 Boylesports Interesting that this horse is having his first run for the McPherson yard today. Wayne Hutchinson rides the horse and this combination won with Our Maimie at Newton Abbot a couple of days ago, she absolutely bolted in. Finished 2nd at Limerick when last seen, when trained for John Queally and the trip is no problem.

Re: Nap of the Day - Sunday 12th Oct 2014 Ffos 2.45 - Mister Grez - win at 11/8 bog PP Hcap chase Looks a 2 horse race on paper with a couple of the outsiders appearing to want better ground or out of form or poor jumpers My selection won this race last year, appears to act on any ground and the yard have got their string in good nick for the early season (6 winners in the last 4 days) Market rival, Frontier Spirit, ran well last time and is also a CD winner but looks to be in decline and a bit one paced nowadays. Might need really testing conditions to get his head in front

Re: Nap of the Day - Sunday 12th Oct 2014 Limerick 17:10 - Heaney @ 20/1 - 1pt win Ladbrokes Yet to fulfil potential over fences. Has form ties with 144-rated Lord Ben and ran well in this race last season, a mistake costing him 2 out. Has some good results in handicaps since including when sixth in the Irish Grand National. Pulled up in the Kerry National worryingly lto but that is factored into the price. 127 still looks a workable mark and the horse is only 7yo so still scope for improvement.
