BritPete
Belle Vue -7 V Ipswich +7 (1) Skybet 1.83 Belle Vue have lost their last two matches, both away from home, easily beaten at Poole, no surprise there! but, they were a little unlucky to lose at Swindon, tonight they will want to get back to winning ways. Their home form is very impressive, and a win tonight is very likely. Stead, Berre and Crump are all on good form, and they should get some useful backing from, Screen, Lyons and reserve Andy Smith. New signing Rusty Harrison makes his debut at reserve, replacing Steve Masters. Ipswich did me a favour at the weekend by keeping it close at Eastbourne, reserve Miskowiak, only scored one point though, lets hope he does the same tonight. Hans Andersen and Pepe Protasiewicz are the main dangers, plus Chris Louis and Kim Jansson. But, with the home team on such outstanding form, they have to be the pick here. Result: Belle Vue 50 Ipswich 43 Joe Screen and Kenneth Bjerre had one of their worse meetings of the season, with the reserves scoring 15 points between them, this should have been a breeze. But, it wasn't, and the world champion Jason Crump finished last in the final race, to make it a dreaded handicap win. The run comes to an end! BritPete
Re: Speedway on Sky Tonight Only just seen this one. Wolverhampton -13 V Arena Essex +13 (1) Stan James 1.83 Wolves bounced back to form with a fine win over Poole last week, and will be far too strong for Arena. Arena are a side put together to win matches on their own tricky little track, away from home they have got very little chance of winning anywhere. Multi world champion Tony Rickardsson will no doubt score a few, but, after that the best they can offer are Gary Havelock and Roman Povazhny! I would expect the home side to beat this handicap. SJ is also offering Belle Vue -7. My bets tonight are two singles and a double. Result: Wolves Arena Essex Wolves absolutely dominated the first half of the meeting, and then they proceeded to throw it away in the second half, very poor by the Wolves, who totally collasped when the bonus point was lost. The Wolves jinx strikes again!
