Flat Racing Monday 2nd June

3.05 Chepstow Pretty poor affair which wont take much winning by the looks of this! Night Trade won over 6f at Goodwood last year off a mark of 66 but has been on a rapid decline since then and now running off a mark of 52, testing ground unlikely to help and wel beaten on latest runs. Outbid is far better on the AW and yet to win on turf. Lordbuffhead is capable but is often hard to predict but will act on heavy ground. Belinsky is yet another that is better on the AW. Christopher Chua is a long standing frustrating maiden who more often than not runs his race but clearly not one for full confidence. Two Turtle Doves might be worth risking in such a dreadful race, will love the testing conditions. Went off the boil on the AW this winter much better effort at Catterick before a lesser effort last time out. Chance taken to bounce back today at a course she loves having won 3 times from 7 starts here and dropped a 1lb below last winning mark. 2pt win Two Turtle Doves 5/1 pp 7.15 Carlisle Lightin Hopkins could be well treated on his best irish form but has shown little in 2 outings for this yard so far and can only be watched but is with a top yard. Head Space is another that has yet to hit his stride this summer and best watched despite dropping to a tempting mark. Ellas Delight won a 6f Doncaster maiden last time out, but that wasn’t the greatest maiden and opening mark looks harsh enough. Alaskan Bullet is yet to win a handicap, not a bad reappearance this year round but will need to step up. It is probably worth concentrating on a handicap which took place over this CD last week in similar ground conditions. Circuitos finished 2nd attempting to make all on seasonal reappearance, he looked as though he would come on for the run. That was a career best effort and gets to run off the same mark tonight and aslong as this doesn’t come too soon he should take all the beating clearly still improving. Sunraider finished a further 2 lengths behind Circuitous with Klynch a head further back. Sunraider has won off a 1lb higher mark but will need to improve from somewhere to land this and get the better of Circuitous. Klynch’s last win came off a 2lb lower mark but does have form off much higher marks so cant be totally discounted especially with the yard ticking over very well this season. 2pt win Circuitous 11/4 coral
