5.10 Ludlow Penmore Mill 5/6 Paddy Power BOG Rockiteer had good form in handicap chases but hasn't run for a while, however Penmore Mill is in ruge health and won one of these a few days ago by 22lengths at Towcester. He will be very hard to beat here. 10 Points win Penmore Mill 5/6 Paddy Power BOG 4.05 Ludlow Springinherstep 6/4 Paddy Power BOG Springinherstep won a novice hurdle at around this time last year and has been kept for better ground. Bobble Boru has won 3 times this season on an easier surface and might struggle today on the faster ground. 10 Points win Springinherstep 6/4 Paddy Power BOG 2.00 Chepstow Churchtown Love 5/6 Paddy Power BOG Churchtown Love won easily at Bangor lto and with the stable going well should win this easily as there doesn't seem to be much else in the race. 10 Points win Churchtown Love 5/6 Paddy Power BOG 3.55 Thurles Prince Of Lombardy 11/10 Stan James BOG 3rd to Katie T at Naas lto, Prince Of Lombardy has the best form in the race by quite a way. With his stable in form a repetition of his last run will suffice. 10 Points win Prince Of Lombardy 11/10 Stan James BOG 2.00 Thurles Ballysteen 13/2 BetVictor BOG This is a very weak race and while Ballysteen has shown nothing over fences so far, on this better ground his runs against the likes of Lord Windermere (beaten 2l) and Spring Healed(beaten 0.5l) in novice hurdles a few years ago would see him win this with quite a lot in hand. That said, his form deteriorated rapidly since joining Morris. 5 Points e/w Ballysteen 13/2 BetVictor BOG A final word on Mourad at Thurles today. While I would fancy him in a big way I cannot recommend anybody backing him with that liability Casey riding him. If he wins, fair enough but to have a serious bet, your horse has to have more than the best form - he must have a serious jockey. Casey was never any good and tends to panic when he thinks he has a chance. He doesn't seem to believe in riding horses into fences or hurdles and as a consequence he ends up on the floor a lot. There are very few other jockeys with his ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and the day he retires will be a happy one for punters. Horses than win for him tend to do so in spite of him rather than because of him eg Glens Melody twice at Warwick!
