Round Six Odds: Hurricanes v Chiefs 1.35 3.00 Margin 8.5 Reds v Highlanders 1.50 2.50 5.5 Blues v Brumbies 1.87 1.87 - Waratahs v Crusaders 2.05 1.70 1.5 Another small round of only 4 games. Interesting note is that the market for Blues v Brumbies opened 1.60/2.20 so a bit of money has come onto the Brumbies during the week, maybe on the back of the Blues dropping Carlos Spencer. Remainder of games have hardly moved. First game of the weekend Hurricanes v Chiefs. On the form board to date and with the large number of Chiefs players either injured, out of form or playing out of position you would expect the Canes to take this comfortably. However the Canes are poor favourites and lose often when expected to win, coupled with the gritty playing style of the Chiefs an upset is on the cards. The margin of 8.5pts is looking attractive. Personally I like the Reds on the HTH @ 1.50 as they are playing at home and look stronger right across the board when compared to the Highlanders. If they win this weekend its not inconceivable that they could win the majority of their remaining games and make a late push for the semis. Have a feeling that the Blues may take out the game versus the Brumbies even though I believe the Brumbies squad is a lot stronger. No real reasoning to support this, just a feeling so am leaving the game alone as a betting option. Final game of Waratahs v Crusaders is interesting in that the result should indicate if the Waratahs are true contenders this year. I had this game priced at 2.70/1.42 myself so on that basis I should take the 1.70 as real value. Not comfortable reading the Waratahs so wouldn't personally go large on any bet. Re: Super12 Round 6 Round of applause for the century!! Looking forward to Saturdays offer from Super 12. 2 cracking games on Sky. Fancy the Brumbies to get a result under the handicap system in Auckland with a 2pt start and also like the Waratahs to beat Canterbury at home with a 3pt start. Either game can go either way, just sit down and enjoy!
