Re: Sky Bet Championship > February 22nd & 25th 3pts Leeds to beat Middlesbrough 3/1 Bet365 Middlesbrough’s slump has come at completely the right time but before I can believe it is about to end they need to show they can score a goal. The longer they go without scoring the more it becomes a burden and with Jack Butland likely to be debuting between the sticks for Leeds scoring here isn’t likely to be any easier for the home side so I think Leeds are a touch of value in this one. Re: Sky Bet Championship > February 22nd & 25th Source : http://www.football-league.co.uk/championship/news/20140221/sky-bet-championship-weekend-preview_2293322_3679741 Barnsley v Millwall Barnsley and Millwall face each other on Saturday in a Sky Bet Championship relegation scrap. The Tykes are second bottom on 23 points, five points adrift of Millwall, who are 21st, one place above the drop zone. Both teams have registered six points in their past six league games, with one win and three draws. On the road, the Lions have won only once in 15 trips, and have the worst defensive record in the division with 59 goals against. Barnsley have conceded 51 times, the second leakiest back-line. Blackpool v Birmingham City Blackpool remain without a win since 30th November, 14 league games ago, and host Birmingham City, who they lead by two points. The Tangerines have picked up a couple of draws in their past two matches - against Ipswich and Nottingham Forest - two of four points they have gained out of a possible 42. The Blues will be glad to make the trip away from St. Andrew's. At home in the league they are winless in 11, since 1st October. Their record on their travels reads much better, with five wins in their past eight. Bolton Wanderers v Watford Like Blackpool, Bolton Wanderers are on a horrendous winless streak, and they host Watford in the Sky Bet Championship. Dougie Freedman's team last won 10 games ago, 1-0 at Barnsley. At the Reebok Stadium in the league, they have lost once and drawn four times since their last victory, on 7th December over Doncaster. The Trotters are 19th, while Giuseppe Sannino's Hornets are 11th. They are unbeaten in five, with three wins and two draws. Brighton and Hove Albion v Wigan Athletic Brighton and Hove Albion and Wigan Athletic lead the Play-Off chasing pack, and the two come together at the Amex on Saturday. The clubs are tied on 46 points, both with a goal difference of seven. Wigan are higher, in seventh, thanks to a richer goals scored column. Both teams have won their past two outings without conceding. Brighton have won 1-0 at home to Doncaster and Leeds, while the Latics tasted a 3-0 success at Sheffield Wednesday and 2-0 over Barnsley. Burnley v Nottingham Forest The Sky Bet Championship's longest unbeaten run faces the Sky Bet Football League's only undefeated home record this weekend. Forest haven't lost in 14 matches and drew 2-2 with leaders Leicester City on Wednesday. Burnley's record at Turf Moor this season reads nine wins and six draws, conceding only nine goals. The Clarets are second on 60 points but Forest, on 55 points, will end the day two points off automatic promotion with victory. However, the Reds haven't won at Burnley in six efforts, since 2003.
Riyad Mahrez scored late on for Leicester against Nottingham Forest last time out, to deny Forest a victory

Charlton Athletic v Queens Park Rangers Charlton Athletic have the second worst home form in English football's second tier and host Queens Park Rangers. The Addicks' past four league matches have all ended in defeat. They are winless in six and haven't tasted Championship success in 2014. That run of results has seen them drop to 22nd, the highest relegation place. QPR are fourth, their lowest league position since August, courtesy of back-to-back defeats. Harry Redknapp's men are now lagging behind the automatic promotion places by four points, but still have the best defensive record in the division. Derby County v Bournemouth Steve McClaren's in-form Derby County are at home against Bournemouth. The Rams are one of three teams to have collected 14 points from their last six games, courtesy of four wins and two draws. That form has lifted them up to third and within two points of second-placed Burnley. Eddie Howe's Cherries are at the other end of the form table with one win in their most recent six. Their last two have ended level and they haven't overcome Derby since January 1985, three meetings ago. Huddersfield Town v Sheffield Wednesday Sheffield Wednesday are the Sky Bet Championship's draw specialists away from home and they're at Huddersfield Town. Nine of the Owls' 15 matches on the road have ended level and they are unbeaten in six away games, stretching back to November. The 17th-placed side have lost their last two, however, at home to Wigan and Derby. Huddersfield are 13th and anything but draw specialists, with their last stalemate coming on Boxing Day. Since then, they've lost five and won four. The overall head-to-head record reads 24-15 in the Terriers' favour. Leicester City v Ipswich Town Table-toppers Leicester City host Play-Off chasing Ipswich Town. The Foxes are eight points clear at the summit of the division but have drawn their last two, against Watford and Nottingham Forest. Ipswich have also shared the points in their last two, against Barnsley and Blackpool, to sit ninth, five points behind the Play-Offs. Nigel Pearson's men have 11 wins in 15 home games, racking up an impressive 36 points - the best home record in the division. Town are the 10th best travellers in terms of points but they only have three away triumphs so far this term. Middlesbrough v Leeds United Middlesbrough host Leeds United live on Sky Sports at lunchtime on Saturday with the pair separated by three points in the Sky Bet Championship standings. Aitor Karanka's men are winless in five and, in that period, they have failed to score a single goal. Leeds lost last time out, against Brighton and Hove Albion, but prior to that they had registered two wins and a draw. Middlesbrough have the 12th best home form, but have lost only twice at the Riverside this term, while Brian McDermott's men possess the 12th best form on the road, with 17 points gained from their 15 away games. Reading v Blackburn Rovers Reading will be in search of their first victory against Blackburn Rovers since October 1986 when the pair clash at the Madejski Stadium. In the eight meetings since their most recent triumph in this encounter, the Royals have lost twice and shared the points on six occasions, including in the most recent two, which have both ended goalless. Sixth-placed Reading haven't drawn in the league since New Year's Day, winning five and losing two since. Blackburn are seven points further back in 10th and have drawn three in an unbeaten run of four matches. Yeovil Town v Doncaster There's a relegation battle at Huish Park on Saturday, with Yeovil Town hosting Doncaster Rovers. The Glovers are rock bottom of the division on 22 points with no win in five, drawing their most recent two. Doncaster are eight points better off, in 20th, and have only lost once in six. Gary Johnson's men have the worst home record in the division with 10 points collected from 15 outings, while the visitors have only won once on the road all season. The reverse fixture ended 2-1 to Rovers and that was only their fourth success against Yeovil. It was also their first triumph against them since March 2004, eight meetings ago.

Re: Sky Bet Championship > February 22nd & 25th I am very close to back Blakpool at home @ 2,20. Want to go with a 6 7 stake here. Home team is starting play better, and this is the good opportunity to finally clinch an home win. Birmingham however are master in drawing and this scares me a bit. But this is the only fixture I am attracted today, now i have to perform some stuff, then come back to study better this. Also, in favor of the Seasiders, is to finally have full team, and also i suppose Ricardo Fuller back in action.

Striker Bobby Grant (knee) is back in training along with forward Tom Barkhuizen who fractured his collarbone in January. Birmingham manager Lee Clark may recall Brian Howard, Olly Lee, Albert Rusnak, Peter Lovenkrands and Nikola Zigic. Jonathan Spector is also in contention after making a comeback from a thigh injury for the Under-21s on Monday.

Re: Sky Bet Championship > February 22nd & 25th Thanks, i was reading this info; there is the risk of everything in this game. However for the manger of home team and former player of Birmingham Barry Ferguson, is the occasion to clicnh a win after some very hard games. Birmingham are not playing bad so there will be there feeling the win. I have gone with 4 sstake a 2,25 on WH. Let's hope Barry does not put out a team to give a point or three to the team which he has won Carling Cup as a player on 2011..!! Come on Tangerines !!!!
