Re: Sky Bet League 2 > February 21st & 22nd Source : Sky Sports AFC Wimbledon v Bury AFC Wimbledon have struggled of late and host lowly Bury on Saturday in Sky Bet League 2. The Wombles have lost their most recent three matches, against Oxford United, Rochdale and Portsmouth, to slip to 15th on 38 points. The Shakers are 21st, on 33 points, just four points above the bottom two. They come into this match on an unbeaten run of four, with three of those games ending level, but have only won twice on the road this term - the second worst away record. Bristol Rovers v Burton Albion This weekend's Sky Bet League 2 action gets under way on Friday evening, when Bristol Rovers welcome Burton Albion. Burton have drawn three of their past four matches 1-1 and hold a place in the Play-Offs, while Rovers are 19th but overcame Cheltenham Town 1-0 last time out. Despite their lowly position, the Pirates have the fifth best home record in the division, but the Brewers are fourth in the away form table with two defeats in 14, conceding just 12 goals. Dagenham and Redbridge v Plymouth Argyle Dagenham and Redbridge and Plymouth Argyle are separated by a single point in the League 2 standings ahead of their meeting on Saturday. The Daggers are the higher of the two in 10th, compared to Plymouth's position of 14th, but have only one win in seven. They drew 1-1 with Burton in their last match, while the Pilgrims lost 4-0 at home to York City. The home side have failed to get the better of Argyle in any of their seven previous league meetings, with the visitors winning four and the other three ending level. Exeter City v Rochdale Rochdale are one of three teams to register 11 points in their last six matches and they travel to Exeter City. Dale have racked those points up with three wins, two draws and a solitary loss, and that defeat was their only reverse in seven. They are fourth and out of the automatic promotion places on goal difference. Exeter are 12th and have picked up a habit of drawing of late, with four stalemates in their last five games, including three 1-1 draws, against Burton, Portsmouth and Morecambe. Mansfield Town v Fleetwood Town Fleetwood Town have also notched 11 points in six games ahead of their game at Field Mill against Mansfield Town. The Cod Army ended a run of three games without a win by overcoming Northampton Town last time out. Graham Alexander's also beat Chesterfield 1-0 in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in midweek, but dropped out of the competition having lost the first leg 3-1. 18th-placed Mansfield were on the end of a 3-0 defeat to Oxford last Saturday but that was their first reverse in four. The Stags have the fourth-worst home record with 14 points collected from 14 games, while Fleetwood have chalked up 26 points from 15 away games - the third-best record in the division. Morecambe v Oxford United Oxford United's unbeaten away record came to an end in midweek and they are on the road again this weekend, with a trip to Morecambe. The U's were on the end of a 3-2 defeat at Newport County on Tuesday night and that halted the last remaining undefeated run on the road in The Football League this season. Despite that result, Oxford remain in the top three. Morecambe are 13th and have four defeats and four draws since their most recent victory, against Fleetwood on Boxing Day. The Shrimps have only ever beat Oxford once, during the 2011/12 season. Newport County v Cheltenham Town Newport County play on their 12th home game of the term this weekend, against Cheltenham Town. The eighth-placed Exiles have struggled with the recent bad weather but they managed to stage a game at Rodney Parade in midweek and benefitted by recording a 3-2 success against Oxford, ending their six-match wait without three points. The travelling Robins are 16th and come into the game without a victory since Boxing Day. Since then, they've drawn three and lost four. The reverse fixture between these two ended level, and that was their first ever meeting. Northampton Town v Hartlepool United Rock-bottom Northampton Town begin a run of three home games with the visit of Hartlepool United. The Cobblers are five points adrift of safety at the foot of Sky Bet League 2 and have lost four of their last six. Pools have lost only once in six and lie ninth. The last three meetings between these two have all been played in the North East, and have all been won by Hartlepool with Northampton not managing to find the net. Their last encounter at Sixfields, in 2008, ended 1-0 to the Cobblers. Scunthorpe United v Portsmouth Scunthorpe United and Portsmouth lock horns at Glanford Park. The second-placed Iron have only lost two games in front of their own fans this term, while Pompey, who are 17th, have only won twice on the road. Scunthorpe remain undefeated in their 15 games under the guidance of Russ Wilcox, and as a result trail leaders Chesterfield by three points. Portsmouth look to have turned a corner of late, having suffered defeat just once in seven. Torquay United v Accrington Stanley Accrington Stanley felt the force of Scunthorpe's form last weekend and they are up against Torquay United on Saturday. James Beattie's men were 2-0 up against the Iron but ended up losing 3-2. Then, in midweek, they drew 0-0 with Bury, to remain 20th and five points above the drop zone. The Gulls have the worst home record in the division, with only two victories, and that has contributed to them sitting in the bottom two. Three of their last four, including their most recent two, have ended in defeat. Wycombe Wanderers v Chesterfield Wycombe Wanderers are Sky Bet League 2's out-of-form team and host top-of-the-table Chesterfield. The 22nd-placed Chairboys have notched two points over their last two matches, with draws against Accrington and Fleetwood, but are winless in nine. The Spireites come into this encounter after four wins in an undefeated spell of six games. The head-to-head record between these two reads 13 wins for Wycombe, 12 victories for Chesterfield, with the other five games ending level. York City v Southend United Southend United hold the lowest place in the Play-Offs and are on the road to York City. Phil Brown's Blues haven't won in five and are now only six points ahead of eighth-placed Newport. York are also in the chasing pack, nine points adrift of their Saturday opponents, with two wins in three. Southend were 2-1 victors in the reverse fixture this season at Roots Hall and that levelled the head-to-head league record to 15 wins apiece, with 11 draws.

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > February 21st & 22nd Dag & Red v Plymouth Dag & Red a@ 11/8 Home win I think this is a good price given that Plymouth Argyle will be without centre-back Neal Trotman as he serves his suspension after being sent off last week. He has played over 33 games this season in all competitions. Dagenham’s last 5 games has seen them play teams in the following positions : 6th, 9th, 4th, 7th, and 2nd . They have only LOST one of these. Plymouth last 5 games has seen them play teams in the following positions: 11th, 24th , 18th, 4th, 16th. Plymouth have only WON one of these. I believe that recent form shows Dag & Red to be stronger and they should win

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > February 21st & 22nd Scunthorpe v Portsmouth . Away win 7/2 Scunthorpe have made heavy weather of keeping their 15 game unbeaten run going. I think Portsmouth could definitely take advantage here. Given the team news I also think that is a factor. Scunthorpe striker Deon Burton faces a further four weeks out with a calf injury he sustained last month. Defender David Mirfin and midfielder David Syers (both groin) are doubts as the Iron look to extend their unbeaten run to 16 games. Portsmouth could hand debuts to midfielder Toumani Diagouraga and striker Michael Drennan after the pair arrived on loan from Brentford and Aston Villa respectively. Full-back Danny East (ankle) is out. Scunthorpe made a very slow start against Accrington last week and I can see Portsmouth scoring first here and making Scunthorpe chase the game.

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > February 21st & 22nd Wycombe v Chesterfield Pick Chesterfield -0.5 @ 2.05 Sbobet Wycombe are struggling for goals at home with only 1 strike in their last 6 home games. They face a Chesterfield side who secured a JPT final berth in midweek so confidence will be high. Chesterfield have a virtual full squad to choose from with only verastile Talbot a doubt. Wycombe will check on cf Morgan and lb Mustoe has returned to Wigan. Both sides at opposite end of the tables and it's bottom v top on current form so looks a good chance for an away win at a healthy price.

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > February 21st & 22nd Scunthorpe - Portsmouth League 2 England Saturday 22/2 16:00 Prediction: Scunthorpe Odds: 1,92 Stake: 5/10 Bookmaker: PinnacleSports Scunthorpe doing well and are currently placed 2nd in the table, fairly strong at home winning 50% of their matches at home, consistent team, havent lost since mid November in the league. Great comeback last weekend away to Accrington going down 2-0 after 37 minutes, ending up winning the game 3-2. Surely a win that have boosted team morale after 5 straight draws before that. Portsmouth currently 17th and has improved last weeks, defensively they look ok, but are weak away only winning 2 out of 15 on the road. They have also had problems scoring goals for a long time now. We cant see an easy homewin here, but Scunthorpe is more balanced, more solid and has more offensive firepower then Portsmouth and we predict Portsmouth to come up short here.

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > February 21st & 22nd York to beat Southend 9/5 Betvictor Nearly 2/1 for York is a great price in my opinion. I stated back on January 11th when York were languishing around the relegation zone that they are much better than their league position would suggest. They have duly climbed to 11th but still seem underestimated by the bookmakers. Throughout the season York have been competitive in most games but have not turned their draws into wins due to silly defending and poor finishing. The York team has been completed reshaped throughout the season and look a much better team now. They have maybe lost a little of their flair but overall look much more solid.

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > February 21st & 22nd Northampton - Hartlepool League 2 England Saturday 22/2 16:00 Prediction: Northampton Odds: 2,92 Stake: 4/10 Bookmaker: PinnacleSports Northampton bottom of the table and things start to get serious now, however they have strengtened the squad lately and we would expect them to survive relagation. They have a quite decent squad, especially now offensively. Hartlepool currently placed 9th in the table, not at their best on the road only winning 4 out of 16 matches. Quite decent form only losing 1 out of the last 6. However we think they could be up for it here, Northampton is better than their league position, and even though Hartlepool has some players who are capable of causing Northampton problems we think Northampton will get a very important win here.

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > February 21st & 22nd Wycombe - Chesterfield League 2 England Saturday 22/2 16:00 Prediction: Chesterfield Odds: 2,06 Stake: 5/10 Bookmaker: PinnacleSports Leaders Chesterfield very consistent, great team spirit and probably the team that will win the league this season. Showing great form, good away side no real injury concerns, only right back Talbot missing. Wycombe have only won 1 out of the last 10, sitting in 22nd place in the table. Scoring goals is a real concern for Wycombe, only scored 33 goals in the league this season, and only 4 goals scored in the last 9 matches (and they scored 50% of them in one match) We can see them struggle here against a very solid and well balanced Chesterfield side who really impressed on us this season.
