Köln-Fürth (2nd Bundesliga) Bet: Köln @ 1.78 (Pinnacle) (8/10) Normally never staking such high on 2nd Bundesliga but there is a Virus in Fürth. The DFL has stated that as long as 13 players are available their won't be any postponement. Today there is no training.

Cottbuss has won a total of 3 games this season (of 21). Out of the last 10 matches they lost 9 and draw once (last game against Aalen). Now they are facing Aue who also has a tough time in 2nd Bundesliga but by far not as hard as Cottbus. After the winter break they showed good matches against Aalen and Lautern (2-2 against Aalen and 1-0 against Lautern). Aue's gamestyle got much better during the winter break and compared to Cottbus I see potential in them getting out of the bottom of 2nd Bundesliga. Cottbus will miss: Börner (suspended due to red card), M. Schulze, Farina and Mrowca (all injured). Aue on the other side only without long time injured Gonzalez. Due to Cottbus' problems in both defense and with scoring goals I see the possibility for a Aue win or more possibile a draw quite high. Good value in my opinion.

Both teams are very similar this season. They have quite good phases in which they are near the top 3 but also have bad phases in which they are barely winning any game. Right now both are in a pretty similar situation (post winter break wise). Union with two draws against Desden (0-0) and Fortuna (1-1). Frankfurt with two close wins against Bochum (2-1) and Dresden (3-2). However Union showed some problems in their gamestyle and especially in scoring in both matches. Frankfurt was in the game against Bochum the better team while they had a hard time against Dresden. That game was decided during the last 15 minutes in which three goals were shot. Union without big misses for the game while FSV will miss defender Oumari (suspended), Konrad (already out for both matches after winter break), Djengoue (quite often injured this season, also aready out for both matches after winter break), Yelen (already out for both matches after winter break) and long time injured Pagenburg. It's true that Frankfurt's suspended Oumari will be a big miss for them in the defense but it also needs to be considered that Union has quite some problems with scoring and their game in general (being worse in the match against Dresden as well as in the match against Düsseldorf). So all in all surely a value bet for me with odds of around 2 for Frankfurt not to lose here.

Re: Bundesliga II > February 21st - 24th 1860 München-Paderborn Bet: Paderborn + 0.25 @ 1.9 (Pinnacle) (2/10) Once again a match in the 2nd Bundesiga in which the home advantage is way overrated. Paderborn is in really good shape right now. They had a tough start into the league but got better from game to game. This resulted in a 4 win streak in the last 4 games before the winter break. After the winter break they added two more wins into this streak which was a 1-0 against Köln and a 4-0 against Bielefeld. The match against Köln was close and the 4-0 against Bielefeld was also a result of a red card for Bielefeld in the first half. However the way Paderborn played in these games were really good and showed me that the team made another step forward in the winter break. Against 1860 they will Brückner who didn't have a big influence in the past games. 1860 on the other side is a typical 2nd Bundesliga team this season which means really good streaks (3 win streak in the first 4 season games and a 4 win streak in novembre) as well as bad streaks (Not a single win in octobre and not a win in the last 4 games). Their playstyle hasn't improved in the winter break from what I could see in the two games after winter break. In the match against Paderborn they will miss Hain. All in all I see 1860 slightly overrated in this game.

They are playing excellent football and the results reflect this (won all games after the winterbreak). Draxler will be back in squad, as well as Obasi which gives them an extra boost in the offense and more possibilitys to change the line up in case of problems in the game. Boateng together with Neustädter on the 6 works perfectly fine (Which is for me the main reason Schalke is now playing that well). Mainz on the other side with good results after the winter break as well (won against Stuttgart, Freiburg and Hannover but lost against Wolfsburg). But in my opinion all three teams they won against here are currently in big trouble and not comparable with Schalke who is playing way better than these teams. As Schalke still has the CL as goal they basically need to make serval points more than all the other top teams considering they struggled a lot in the first half of the season. This means that they have to win such games against middle class Bundesliga games as well and looking at their gamestyle after the winterbreak I see them having a good chance doing so against Mainz. Game is about to begin soon so the analysis is a bit shorter.
