Charlotte over Orlando @2.18 (www.betcom.com) Charlotte has lost last 10 games, but they didn't really stink in most of them. The players are frustrated because of this streak, they'll do anything to end it. If they don't do it tonight, they'll have to try vs Pho, at Orl, vs Mia, vs NJ, vs Chi (their next 5 games) and all these seem tougher than Orlando at home. That's why i expect them to play as hard as possible, and their engine, Brevin Knight, should be even more motivated in this game. After registering 5 turnovers in the last game against Dallas, he'll try to do something more similar to his game vs LAL (21 pts, 17 asts, 0 TOs). After all he only has 18 games until he becomes a free-agent, and he really needs to perform well to finally get some big bucks (he is being payed only 745 000 $ this year). AND he will be matched up against Jameer Nelson who is good, but he's no Franchise. This game will also give us another head-2-head matchup between #1 and #2 from last June's draft. So far their teams are even (each team winning once at home). Okafor averaged 13.5 pts and 13 rbs in the two games, while Howard had 7.5 pts and 12 rbs per contest. However, if you count out his game against Clippers, Howard averaged 5.4 points and 8 rebounds (10 rpg over season) in his last four. He was at his worst in the last game against Portland, with 4 points on 2/11 shooting. Maybe the coaching change wasn't the best thing that could happend to him, but it's still too early to be sure that is the case. With or without Howard's strong play tonight Orlando is already without their top scorer (Francis), passer (Francis) and defender (Christie). And Bobcats deseperately want to win. They already beat Orlando once for their first win in history on Nov 6th, with Francis and Mobley playing in that one. Key factor: It doesn't get any nearer to an easy game for Bobcats as it will be tonight, they'll do their best, it might be enough against struggling Magic.
