Newbury 2:05 - Fuller's London Pride Novices' Chase (Berkshire) (Grade 2) Wonderful Charm is the deserved favourite for this race but I think the odds are slightly too skinny at around the evens mark so the clear value for me is Tanerko Emery. If rumours from the David Pipe yard are true, this horse is apparently going to improve greatly over the bigger obstacles and he has a chance to prove that tomorrow. The form behind Raya Star looks decent enough and I think he can put it up to the favourite. Nicholls had a good chase winner on Thursday and generally does well here. However I cannot easily dismiss the claims of Tanerko Emery given his stable's recent record in this event. You could say that Raya Star beat Tanerko Emery and a Nicholls horse defeated Raya Star lto. However that is fools logic. It may well be that Tanerko Emery is better than Wonderful Charm by the end of the season but this time I feel the experience of Wonderful Charm will win the day. 10 Points win Wonderful Charm 10/11 Boylesports BOG
